Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
hi 5x5 not sure if this is what you are asking?
sam garrett was the owner of pacific trend resources - who ggp acquired the havieron license from. also associated with 5 diggers and ***** gold.
It’s my only regret, for want of a better word, with GGP. I think, time wise also they’re spoilt for choice of what to concentrate on and prompted my question I submitted for the AGM. I think the Tasmanian assets was definitely a move in the right direction.
Q. A good problem to have, but I often consider Greatland to be an embarrassment of riches (in a good way). How can the multitude of already owned opportunities be efficiently dealt with in the near term?
Feel a bit bad now about my timing of the rerelease of Fairytale of New Jorc.☹️
We’ll raise a glass and sing a song for you tonight Shane.
sad to say I must be on my way
So buy me beer and whiskey 'cause I'm going far away (far away)
I'd like to think of me returning when I can
To the greatest little boozer and to Sally MacLennane
Thanks SouthernComfort and thanks also in advance to all others who will no doubt add their knowledge during the day.
No idea what any of that RNS means, but it sounds good LOL.
Anyway off to climb a mountain today .
Last orders for Starvest 20p to buy at time of writing. Soon be us.
Wet Wipes I assess GGP on future earnings/potential. A compay that has made profits and then paid a dividend just means that profit has then gone,no point valuing it on what has happened in the past it’s the future potential that matters.
Well I’ve heard a few Christmas songs on the radio so I think it’s that time of year when The Rogues rerelease their Christmas song, a few updates for the 2023 version.
Let the royalties roll in!
Got on a lucky one
They call it Havieron
I've got a feeling
This year's for me and you
So happy Christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true
We’ve got cores full of bars
We’ve got rivers of gold
But trolls try and get to you
You’ve got to be bold
When you first caught my eye
On a cold Winters day
You promised me
Riches were waiting for me
Havieron is awesome
Some say pretty
It’s as big as a city
When Newcrest started drilling
They kept finding more
C. Baxter was swaying
All the drill teams were singing
They couldn’t find a corner
As they drilled through the night
The boys of the Wyloo and Greatland Gold choir
Were singing hail Shaun Day
And the MRE will soon be out
Before Christmas Day
The Rogues are also pleased to announce they are commencing a new tour to prove they’re not just one hit wonders. Supported by two new up and coming stars, a local group called Scallywag and from a bit further afield country rock talent Ernest Giles.
I’m not trying to say there’s anything in this necessarily on this occasion, but I think SD might have said in the past that Scallywag potentially could be used to renegotiate the Havieron JV.
Been away and had no reliable internet for a week, what’s all this aboat boats then?
I know we got a boat load of gold.
A boat load of copper.
A boat load of the Paterson.
A boat load of other licences.
And the tide is rising.
Time, tide and Telfer wait for none.
Weigh anchor.
Maybe if I don’t post or look in again for a week, we’ll add another penny or more, I’ll try 😀
Good luck everyone.
P.S. I heard you, you cheeky so and so’s. What do you mean “try not posting for another year”.
Enjoy the voyage
I’ve posted before that we have missed out, so to speak, on the potential SP enhancing milestone events of a typical mine construction due to the fact a lot of it is already there. In our case nearly all attention has been on the decline but if you compared us to a “typical” greenfield mine construction project then what percentage must we be complete due to Telfer. Would I be being generous if I said 90%? We’ve had no build or cost risks of all that Telfer will provide. Amazing really.
Hi HavieronKing, most versions of the Lassonde curve I have seen show the most rapid part of the second rise prior to actual mining commencing. So when you consider how close we potentially are to first ore and the fact with regards to construction a lot of “stuff” is already there with Telfer I would say watch this space.
Good luck
Don’t know if this has already been posted but just a different article/view of which assets Newmont may divest.

Hi Dan, Sorry I didn’t explain myself very well.
I think the market size for SVE is only 15,000
I think it is 10 times that for GGP
There’s only 58 million shares in issue.
If GGP shareholders suddenly started en masse selling GGP and started buying Starvest I think the Starvest price would rapidly rise to a level whereby it would far exceed the potential benefit.
For example if someone had 4million GGP shares you could probably get a quote to sell that amount. So say they sold them and tried to use the proceeds of that sale to buy SVE I doubt they would be able to get a quote for that amount. They may be able to buy them piecemeal in 100,00 or 200,000 chunks but each time they did so the ask price would probably rise.
To put it in perspective if you managed to get your hands on 3 million SVE shares you would own just over 5% of Starvest.
The idea is good in principle but only for relatively small amounts.
ATB
Unsurprisingly there doesn’t seem to be many willing to sell at these prices.😀
All good.
Hi Dan, the problem is the liquidity of SVE. I don’t think it would take much to move the Starvest price upwards to a point where it might defeat the object.
What your saying makes sense for tens of thousands of shares but maybe not for millions.

Regardless of if ourJV partner decides to fold, call or raise, it’s nice to hear the top man of our new JV partner finally start to acknowledge the potential of Havieron. Especially when you consider what other assets they have to compare it against.
“it's really important you understand the strategic
potential of that infrastructure, as well as the
potential of the Havieron deposit, and that
wider Paterson district,"
Anyway, we do understand the potential of Havieron and everything else GGP own,Tom, very much so.
Good luck everyone.
The good thing is whether we find out sooner or later and whatever way it goes it makes sense that Telfer has to be kept as economical as possible and the only way to do that is to keep fast tracking Havieron. Not long now.
The way I see it is Newmont have just done the equivalent of buying a farm including all contents.
You know the script, the one where hidden under a tarpaulin in one of the old barns is a Ferrari Dino in as good a condition as when it rolled out of the factory. In the sale particulars it was just listed as old barn with miscellaneous items and given no value. You put In your offer and keep quiet about the prancing horse in the barn(or elephant in the room) but once the ink is dry on the contract how long would it be before you started bragging about it?
All good.
