Think that’s the best score I’ve ever got in anything 75%. I’d have got 100% but I couldn’t sell gold to speedymeadie.
Don’t get me wrong I think and hope GGP will try and buy Telfer and that Newmont will want to sell them Telfer. But they’ve got to at least have a bit of fun doing the negotiation dance.
Looking forward to it all unfolding.

Hi MH01,I’m not trying to say building a stand alone processing plant is necessarily a better option to Telfer I am just saying from a negotiation situation it shows there are alternatives. I’d rather GGP had options than be held to ransom with no options.
I can’t know for sure what Newmont’s options are but I think they would rather GGP bought and used Telfer than build their own processing plant and Telfer be left high and dry for them to deal with. So it kind of balances the negotiating position, it possibly even helps puts GGP in a stronger position than Newmont.
I think talk of the “option” to build a separate processing plant to Telfer is helpful from a negotiating point of view. Whilst processing at Telfer is probably preferably, it’s always best to have possible alternatives when negotiating. It might not be the most rational alternative but at least it doesn’t tie GGP to being forced to “have” to buy Telfer.

So Shinybits has heard
“word from up on high” and then posted it on the internet.
Aye ok
Ha,ha the only “problem” is, i think Newmont have said if you’re getting the lot for US$200M cash (plus maybe sweeteners) you can at least finish the decline yourself. Sounds a good solution to me.

I just hope it’s not this tax year good news comes though. After all this time of low SP please wait just over one more week so I can get my new ISA allowance at this price.😀
Yep, whether they’ll group it in with a Telfer/Havieron 70% deal or do it separate we’ll see.

“Greatland aspires to become a profitable multi-mine resources company by focusing on the responsible and sustainable discovery, development, extraction, processing and sale of precious and base metals.”

Think he might have seen it on the latest Ordnance Survey map covering the area. 😀
Yes,I’m hoping we’ve already voted on giving the board sufficient capacity to enable them to proceed. That would be good.
Callum’s there on his boat, retired, enjoying his life knowing he still owns millions of shares in a gold mine and the old handyman at the boatyard comes past, looks at him, shakes his head and says “where did it all go wrong, Callum”.
All the BEST
I think there’s plenty who read here who have owned GGP shares for over 5 years. It always amuses me when some seem to think that anyone who has owned shares for this amount of time or longer has made a big mistake just because they didn’t sell in the 30p’s or 20p’s. Maybe it’s me but even at an SP of between 6 or 7p I still feel like this is the best investment I’ve ever made.
I really don’t mind if some call me stupid or a rubbish investor, I’ll take that everyday when I’m lucky enough to be invested in an opportunity like this. Still happy to be buying more.
Good luck all.
I read Shinybits stuff and I thought even the most gullible there is will see right through it.
For me best sequence of events an exclusivity period followed immediately by FS which would probably assist bank funding assuming that’s part of the route taken. Protects GGP from outside interest whist funding sorted. Bish bash bosh deal done.
There’s a couple of spots in Cumbria where I go walking sometimes with Maximus (named after Havieron) the border collie, where they pan for gold. And same as metal detecting only problem that I didn’t hear that guy on the video mention is you’re supposed to have the landowners permission.Talking to them they say it’s definitely a hobby rather than for financial gain. Mind you I suppose they would say that, bit like us wanting to keep Havieron all for ourselves.
Anyway It’ll all pan out soon enough.
I think the rhetoric from Newmont and Greatland appears to show that the best outcome is to work together to secure a deal, rather than to be fixated with LROR and other constraints of the JV. I think they’ll be able to be creative and flexible with the solution and timing of any events if it suits both parties.

Is copper finally starting to follow the gold price.
The good thing about a Callum interview is he can say what he thinks now he is no longer a director.
Whereas Shaun has to be more restrained.
Really looking forward to the next instalment in Greatland’s future.
