I'll say again: this should be regarded as a long term investment - which means holding for 5 years at least. Nobody should ever invest money that he/she is likely to need sooner than that!
I was a bit alarmed yesterday to hear that one or two people have yoloed on this stock. I didn't (and wouldn't ever) do this myself. That doesn't mean that I don't believe in the company. It is, in my opinion, very likely that folks who have gone all-in will eventually make a lot of money - if they hold their nerve. But there is, by definition, and element of speculation when we invest in early-stage companies. Nothing in life is ever 100% certain - there is the possibility (whoever small) that something totally unforeseen could happen. Hence it is advisable to have a portfolio with some diversification. But most importantly of all, people shouldn't invest funds which they might need in the near or medium term. VLS is still at an early stage. It is possible that this stock will go back down, and stay down for quite a while. It will be 2/3 years before we start to see their potential actually being realised.
