Yeah, I'm already in EQT for 150,000 shares. Worth a punt, considering the way the political wind is blowing.
On the green front, I bought some Blue Bird Corp the other day too. If this Biden dude (or whoever is propping him up in his chair) wants to spend a zillion government dollars electrifying the school bus fleet in Uncle Sam, I reckon they could see business properly booming over the next few years.

Charles, are still "all-in" VLS? Or did you get any chance early on to reduce your holding without loss?

If you are all-in, my honest advice would be to forgot about the whole thing for now and come back in a year (or even three years!)

As for forums like this, they can be amusing but there's a lot of stuff which is (to put it mildly) not very constructive. I'm not thinking of anyone (or any posts) in particular. It's just...I dunno...you've taken the position now, and you've just got to stand by it. What else is there to be said?

I started buying back in the summer myself - one tranche at under 5p

There is IMVHO a good probability of a small rally after a cliff drop. (I don't say that it would be sustained though.)

Well, I'll say it again - right now is when strategic-thinking long term investors who weren't already in VLS have got their BUYING shoes on!

If anyone did enter at the peak (I remember in particular one guy saying he'd gone all-in to buy 1.3 million shares!) then they have two choices:
1.) Throw away a vast hunk of your money by selling to one of the aforementioned longterm investors - so that HE can reap the eventual returns.
2.) Show iron resolve and WAIT. This will (almost certainly) make you a lot of money at the end of the day! But you may have to wait months/years to see it. Not necessarily, of course, it could turn around much more quickly - that's not impossible. But you will likely have to stomach a nasty time in the red.

It made sense to start buying at 11p - based on where we were at that point.
Now...well...there's no denying it - it has taken a pasting!

Thing is, HSD, I'm mindful of the old Buffet quote about the market being a weighing machine in the long term, but a voting machine in the short term. In the long term there is tremendous upside - that's clear. But in the short term it seems as if the "voters"(so to speak) are behaving pretty irrationally.
A cynic, might see an opportunity here - several big volatile up-down movements could make us a lot of money in a relatively short time(!)

If that happened, I reckon it might bounce up quite sharply?
(I dunno, it seems as if there are a lot of PIs who don't have any plan here...)

Uncle Xi is the one who scares me, Superbarnet. Uncle Vlad might do a spot of poisoning here and there, but he's far too smart to start a war, IMHO.

Logically it should be rock solid at some point between 7.5 and 8p - but logic may have nowt to do with it?
What we have here are numerous PIs who think short term, don't have a plan, and who are basically running around like panicked chickens who have seen Mr Fox at the window of their coop...

At some point it will bounce, IMO - but where is that point?

Re. selling - it should be understood my latest cost average is/was 5.5p

If it does keep on sinking, I'm buying big time!

But....did I secretly SELL 50% of my holding somewhen yesterday? That will have to remain a riddle wrapped in an enigma :-)

If Bc2020 bought a million pound's worth back in the summer at 5p, and sold at 15p...well...a lot less than 5 years!

Folks freely chose to buy at 14p i(or whatever) n the hope and expectation that there would be an upside. The good news is: it is extremely likely that the SP will go significantly higher than 14p! Sure, it's probably not going to happen soon (although that is also not impossible.) Worst case: they will have to eat, drink, f__k and generally get on with life for 12-24 months then come back to it.

I suppose people might have stitched _themselves_ up, if they invested money they might need to access in the near-medium future. But nobody should ever do that, of course.
