This is odd...

3 (out of 14) companies that I hold (including WBI) had drops of around 10% this morning and 2 are now blue and the other has nearly got back to last closing price.

How does that happen?

If the price drops fast you can sell at much less that the stop loss price. That happened to me in Nov 2023 with this share and a stop loss of 5p triggered but I only got around 3p per share. But I was able to buy back at around 1.5 during the weeks which followed.

I then had stop loss of 1p in place mid Dec 2023

The placing in late Dec 2023 caused my shares to be sold.

But I bought back in at .25 so when the price moved back up I got a good profit in Jan 2024

Maybe I was lucky.

I now have a stop loss at 1p on 1 million shares, but hope that it won't be needed

Stop loss in place if case there is a discounted placing. If the placing makes the price drop below 1p the stop loss will trigger and I will buy back at a discount... wait for the rise and they take some profit.

Worked well when the price dropped to 0.25 last December.

Otherwise I will hold. The demand for helium will only increase and these guys are sitting on a massive reserve in Tanzania and now have options in USA.

The answer is PIs with stop loses in place.

I had a stop loss in place and when the price dropped I got 3p a share and then used the money to buy back in at 0.25. Then took some profits when the price went up in January.

Today I have stop losses in place at 1.25 (my average is about half that) so if it drops again I will repeat.

I am just a private investor that check the BB for clues... People were warning of a placement for weeks before it happened

There are some interesting numbers here.

But currently there are just over 5 billion shares, so the the lowest prediction needs to be 5 times less i.e. ~40 pence.

I would guess that the cost of goods would reduce that further, but clearly this share should be valued in double digits once the start pumping helium (and hydrogen).

I was wondering about earnings per share based on the estimate of the amount of helium and its current value. I seem to remember that others had produced some numbers a while back.

I could go looking up the figures myself, but of someone has the numbers already worked that would be appreciated.

Last time when the placement was massively discounted at 0.25 my stop loss cut in and then I bought back at slightly above 0.25 and took some profits when it went back to 1.5.

Maybe the SP is going up because they have good pipeline of products and there is a need for clean energy and this share is undervalued.

Where do those numbers come from? The current spread is 1.0 /0.9 ask / bid here and in practice when trading the spread is often less...

Considering the need for base load (as mentioned on the BBC news today) I don't understand why this share has been close to all time lows for so long....
