Again, for those such as Seeing2030 who deliberately try to confuse people [note he copied the name of Seeing2020], the Tayron does have SEE DMS in the rearview mirror. This appeared in the recent Telegraph article: "For example, Volkswagen has just launched the Tayron with a camera-based DMS located in the rear-view mirror. It will follow up with the Volkswagen T-Roc and a small electric vehicle. It also confirmed it is working on equipping all its other vehicles with a camera-based DMS by mid-2026."

Seeing2030 does no research just throws out big statements and questions the research of others to an absurd degree.

Brockwl what price would you like SEE to get to before you buy back in like last time? I don't blame you, I just would prefer it if you were honest about it.

Seeing Machines has been supplying Mercedes with DMS ever since the 'S' Class a few years back. You newbie de-rampers are too lazy to even to do basic research. This from an article that was published in Reader's Digest before it went under.

"Of course not all DMS are equal, while implementations will also differ, which is why future car buyers should evaluate different systems to find one that suits them. Indeed, car manufacturers are even pushing DMS providers to develop additional features beyond the central core ability to spot and deter, drowsiness, distraction and impaired driving. This includes the ability to recognise if a phone is being handled, seat-belt status and cigarette handling.

For example, in the Mercedes EQS, EQE, S-Class and E-Class model series (if equipped with Hyperscreen, Augmented Reality heads-up display or 3D driver display), a DMS detects distraction and also imminent miscrosleeps caused by fatigue. An additional entertainment feature that Mercedes DMS also enables is that by monitoring the eye position, the 3D driver display can be adjusted, thereby enabling a 3D effect without 3D glasses."

No, you're not quite right there: research has proven beyond any doubt that Volkswagen is going with Seeing Machines and using Magna's rearview mirror. The problem is the car makers like to keep a lid on who their current suppliers are. We tend to find out the exact name only years after the deal has been done.

Admittedly, I'm drawing on research re. BMW. Its tough but that's what has to be done. It dumped Smart Eye for SEE is my understanding. CB and Safestocks have both mentioned that. Sadly, unless we get an RNS that knowledge won't move the share price though -- sometimes not even then.

I don't blame SEE for not naming the OEMs as there are NDAs in place. In fact, I'm happy with auto and expect to have more contracts announced soon. Aftermarket, I'm clearly not happy about but expect it to be rectified with the help of Mitsubishi. When big contracts are announced the share price must respond.

Personally, I'd like full disclosure of the issues re. Gen 3 at the Town Hall. Then to gain insight into how SEE plans to take a larger slice of that market in US + Europe in particular.

Very positive news from BMW:

Thanks for clarifying, Smart Eye certainly know how to 'Trump' their achievements.

Can you explain what the distinction means in: 1) time to market 2) Cost to OEMs and 3) Quality of DMS/OMS? Thanks.

From what I've previously learnt about the Magna/SEE rearview (RVM) mirror DMS/OMS, I'm assuming that the Gentex/SEYE solution takes longer to design into the car, is more costly to the OEMs and is lower quality than the Magna/SEE RVM. Moreover, SEYE gets paid less. However, I don't possess the technical knowledge of you or many other investors such as JC and TLS.

I hope they give a demo or at least discuss how Magna are using SEE tech to spot drunk drivers. Will it also work with people that take drugs? (asking for a friend):

One of the first of many reviews for the VW Tayron, which has Seeing Machines DMS/OMS in the rearview mirror. Sadly, the journalist who wrote the review had no idea. FFS.

They wrote: "You might expect the cabin to mirror the Tiguan’s, but Volkswagen has added a unique dash element that adds a ridge from one side to the other."

As for the commercial reasons? Israeli economy is sinking fast, entirely dependent on US bankrolling it. I assume Cipia must be struggling to retain and recruit quality engineers who don't want to live in a country that is falling apart and whose leaders seems to be determined to start a conflagration in the Middle East. For those OEMs foolish enough to take the risk and choose Cipia, will their customers drive easy thinking Mossad could have a back door into their car? Never mind exploding pagers, have you ever seen a vehicle get blown up?

Seeing Machines can deliver single camera DMS/OMS in the rear view mirror via Magna. It can also deliver 2 camera DMS/OMS via Veoneer. It is the market leader in auto, doing it cheaper and better than Tobii or Smart Eye. One day some Chinese company may come along to challenge it - but that day hasn't yet arrived (so far as I know).

I appreciate the response. Certainly, your thinking would appear to chime with what PM has previously said.

Still, it's arguable that getting a licence deal in marine or some other area would bring forward breakeven - maybe Mitsu or one of our other partners may pursue this? DMS in auto is coming to the US with or without Trump, as it's been proven to prevent accidents.

Offshoring has hollowed out Western economies and the gradual destruction of the UK's domestic manufacturing industry hasn't done the UK economy any good over the past 50 years. I'm old enough to remember when Jaguar was a British company. Concorde was also quite an achievement for its day.

Do people think the ID2 will be a best seller? Reasons for and against would help liven up this board.

Separately, am I the only person on this board who thinks SEE ought to license its tech to the other forms of transport, eg. shipping? Would that necessarily involve much extra expenditure on R&D? Surely, we could get paid for that? I had heard we were examining marine as a possible market a couple of years ago and even conducted some trials.

The time to buy shares is when they are on sale. Remember how the share price performed after Covid? I completely understand why some have sold out but the price should improve before April 2nd, imho. DYOR of course.

The Volkswagen Tayron has the SEE DMS/OMS in the rearview mirror. It is already on sale here in the UK but I've not had a test drive as It is going into showrooms in March. Volkswagen have said they are putting it into all Volkswagen cars by July 2026.

Of course this stock won't be taken over for less than several billion. Do you think Mitsubishi made a strategic investment by buying 20% to let it go for pennies? That Qualcomm, Magna, Valeo, Collins Aerospace etc etc don't place a high value on their collaboration with Seeing Machines and would let someone take control of it so easily? You're showing your own ignorance of business by using Philip Fisher to justify your lack of research and knowledge of this stock.
