Didn't see the drop here being as much as it was today. Also holding SBRY & MRW which took a hit but not as much as Tesco. I had reduced my holdings in Tesco recently but decided to top back up today. Didn't get the absolute low today but at just a fraction over 183p happy with my purchase. The interim divi will more than cover the stamp and the small bounce in the final few minutes will more than cover my dealing charges to buy and sell.
So I will wait and see where the sp goes to next. Final divi will be around 2p a share so happy to hold more shares for the future dividend return. I will buy more if it drops below 180p and will consider selling some if it gets to 190p.
Not sure about a decent dividend, but it has been reinstated at a prudent amount of 1p. I think the good results will already been built into the share price, but let us see.
Half a million shares picked up by someone today. Would have thought this was a purchase by somebody who is a canny investor. There may be more buys like this over the next few weeks as this share will be going places. IMO
Onions,
No real reason for the drop today IMHO, just a share out of favour today. At some stage it will bounce back up again, again for no apparent reason. I blame modern day trading.
Thomas,
If you are right, "12-18" delay and "a big if" that puts a different spin on this share to me. If you don't mind me asking what is your source of information please ?
Yes agree. Market seems to go in fits and spurts these days. I blame the chart followers and automated trades.
Have to live with it though and trade accordingly.
I haven't seen any announcement that the Ghana project has been started yet, nor do I know what the delay is. Hopefully we will hear something soon and we may get a bounce in the sp. So we wait for a RNS. Meanwhile it is a hold and maybe think about a top up.
Not sure at all about todays RNS about the Tender offer in respect of Safeway Bonds.
Anyone here able to give a view on what it means for Morrisons going forward ?
Millsm,
They could do with you on their marketing team. Hopefully the BOD are as clued up as you.
I am slightly cynical. Up until the share options have been agreed, what incentive have the BOD to encourage the increase in the share price?
