Sainsbury's is axing 2,000 store and back office roles as the supermarket chain looks to slash costs by �500m amid an intensifying price war with Aldi and Lidl. The retailer is restructuring its HR departments, getting rid of 1,400 store-based clerks and another 600 staff based in the back offices that serve the chain as well as Argos and Sainsbury's bank.

Last buy at full ask, but last sell @ 1.22p. Annoys me that MM;s do this as large spreads discourages buying and selling, which is where they make their money. Too frightened that this share will swing one way or another and catch them out.

It only takes a few buys with little volume to get this share to tick back up.

Good safe share to have in your portfolio IMHO.

This has been a good two weeks for WTB from below �37 to �39.42 today. Expecting an interim divi of about 30p.

Not looking good, not much financial volume but they are all sells. My share holdings have been put into the folder " do not open until Xmas". I will just wait this out.

Maybe buying at 529p would have been OK. This is going back up as fast as it fell yesterday. Might start day trading this.

Best I can get is 529p....should have gone in straight away at opening. So, I will leave the top up now. Got quite a few shares anyway.

Bit busy tomorrow morning and then off to Brighton Races in the afternoon. Might have a chance to buy some first thing on the morning, but if not will look at GNK on Wednesday. If the sp is still hanging around the 520p mark, then I will top up. A few extra shares won't do any harm in order to benefit from Jan 18 divi.

After that brief flurry of excitement yesterday back to normal activity zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Just a waiting game I am afraid to say!

Thomas Probably the two small buys this morning at 1.33p will lose if they sold. The other buys below 1.3p would probably break even. Lot of activity on the BB today.

Thought we might get a bounce back today. 1% up, half way there.

At last we have a bit more interest. I tried a dummy buy early this morning for 100,000 shares and got an offer at 1.29p, which was higher than other dummy buys I have done recently. The same dummy buy now is at 1.33p. Watching with interest, but not looking to add to my investment here, this is just a punt which hopefully will reap me a good reward.

In these turbulent autotrading markets, we will continue to get these ups and downs, not IMO anything to do with fundamentals just algorithm trading to maximise profit, leaving PI with little control. We will just have to do the best we can.

Suggest hold now for at least a week ( ex divi 12 Oct) and take the long awaited divi. Long term hold for me, but will buy and sell on the peaks. 180p buy, 190p sell for me at the moment.
