reff, I am not too concerned. I have seen too many over reactions on results day on other shares. I will take what happens tomorrow with the share price. If it drifts downwards, it will pick up. I am sure we will get a decent divi.

Levante, There hasn't been much opportunity for you to reduce your losses since 2015, this speculation of an offer might be your best chance at reducing those losses. Will there be an offer? who knows. If I was still holding I would be considering selling some in the morning. I would probably keep half but the other half I would start to sell, in your case perhaps 7 - 10k of shares at a time. I would also consider buying back if it drops back at any stage. To not do anything and there ends up not being an accepted offer may leave you with further regrets, Hope it goes well for you whatever you choose to do.

Yes I can see an offer being agreed here. Stobart has roughly 10 times MC of Flybe ( before today ). So can easily take Flybe within its structure. Good luck to holders here. I am not a holder as I got fed up with the uncertainty.

Squid, Nice to have the history lesson, but I don't think the historic trends are at all relevant. We are in a completely different market now with Amazon and other online sellers nibbling away at conventional stores market share, Food is also a problem with Aldi, Lidl and the new Tesco set up giving greater competition. There is still a market for the luxury side of M&S though and hopefully M&S can still exploit this be it with fewer stores.

Wasn't thinking that mifid II would trouble STJ too much, but I may have to reconsider. I would have thought that their charges to investors were very transparent already and other costs to them for market info would be minimal. Only just dipped my toe back in last week, so I will see how it goes. Not in a hurry.

Reff, Market is / has corrected. So a reasonable time to buy good shares with reasonable divi returns. STJ is one of these and I like to hold some of these type of shares in my portfolio. However if I am making a quick 5 -10% return, I like to take the profit too. Here I will accumulate at �11 and reduce at �12.

Sold most of my holdings here as the price to sell got too tempting as the FTSE100 peaked. Now it has fallen to a little over �11, I am increasing my holdings once again. Maybe holding until next divi payout.

Haven't held MKS shares for quite a while. Good opportunity at �2.86, I believe, so bought in today.

Expected this to be up again today with all the talk of splitting out Costa.

Lost out on Carillion, but a nice gain here where I have much more of a financial interest. Hope it works out OK for Carillion workers and pensioners.

Really fired up today on the back of the share buy back news. This share only needs a low volume of buys/sells to get moving.

Where are all the derampers and shorters? are they in hiding ? I miss the " �1.60p this time next week" and the like.
