Queen, I don't think it is unexpected that "tone and spirit" will change when you have a financial interest, rather than just an interest. I think I have been quite transparent and objective with my recent postings here. I thought initially under £1.20 was a good price I did not foresee the Standard & Poor downgrading I bought at £1.04....I expected a rise back to £1.20 I said I would accumulate under £1, which is yet to happen ( and I don't believe it will ) I will hold for divi if it does not get to £1.20.

Drake, Yes agree market over reacted to Irish news...already accounted for in the present price, imo. Not sure we are in a bear market...any evidence of that ? Anyway FT well down over last few days, but picking up slightly today. Meanwhile RSA having a mini rally of its own. keeping above that £1 level.

Drake, New poster I see. However is the 95p figure just something you guessed at ? I think £1 is a significant level...are you seeing 95p as the same...or are you reading charts ?

Market is generally down, I find the weaker shares will be hit most. RSA has only fallen by about the average loss on the FT100, so I don't perceive a problem. If I expected the FT100 to pick up, (which I am not saying today it will), this is a good share to buy into at the £1.02 level. Looking at topping up at £1.01 as I believe buyers will pile in if it were to go below the magic £1 level. All my opinion.

Still holding my original allocation. Regretted not selling when I could at 90p...but not much regret now. Just that I was considering buying at 58p only recently. New Years resolution for me stop procrastinating and make some money!

Agree your comments "seen it" . Share price is rock bottom, share divi's rock bottom. Likely only way is up

Good day, as Aviva up 1.65% and another blue morning for RSA.

OK with how it went today as finished in the blue. with FT100 down 0.66%. Tesco was one of the big losers today. Might be the reaction to Xmas ad. So looking seriously at Tesco's as one of my cheeky (but safe ) punts in the FT100.

FT100 down 0.45%, RSA up 0.66%, which is effectively a 1% rise. Would be surprised if this is as good at today's close. However it is going the way I thought, a gentle upward trend with £1.20 somewhere on the horizon. If it gets there early, I will take the profit. should it lanquish , then I hold for the divi. Falls under £1 at any time then I accumulate. That's the plan !!!

Scrip price was bad news, that's three, so we can move on now.

Looking for any news of when MTA are likely to come out of suspension. Can anyone comment ?

I sold PXS and bought back, should have done the same with SIS. Now they are below 60p, I might consider a small top up. Particularly as they also seem to enjoy the same "pump and dump" runs as PXS enjoys.

So the Scrip price was 121.74p per share, not much of a bargain considering current sp. Didn't interest me. as only just become a shareholder again,

Wiped out yesterdays loss very quickly...happy days on their way ?

Not panicing yet. Today % loss is 1.25% against FT of .3% fall. Some of the 100 shares have to have a biiger fall than the average, today was RSA's turn & why not. If we get a rally later this week, then who knows if II's want to pick up some cheaper shares they may want RSA. Me, I am in for the ride with an initial medium sized holding, but I have plenty of dry powder should I need it.

If it goes lower than £1, I will be accumulating...maybe not to 3%
