Charles Jillings, CEO of Utilico, energized by strong economic momentum across Latin America. Watch the video here.
ZippyFrood, maybe the govt attitude is explained by the fact that they really don't know what they are doing on this issue.
Tory leadership challenge ? Who in their right mind would want to lead that bunch?
It is looking increasingly likely that the only safe haven for Enquest shareholders is for the company to be sold to a solid going concern who have truly global interests and not be screwed by the amateurish politics of the clowns in the commons, (*Both sides of the aisle )
Now is the time for the CEO to show leadership, step up to the plate and garner more shares. Will he ?
KO, take it easy mate, there are media hitters such Telegraph and Times fronting up to the government on oil and gas. It will come out in the wash soon, Sunak’s preference to reward his banker associates, and his slavish obsession with taxing oil companies, all oil companies, irrespective of how much or little they succeed is shortly going to bite his ass. Starmer’s acceptance of 1.5 £M from an anti oil chancer , will see him accused of planning to close the North Sea with the loss of tens of thousands of jobs. The Sue Grey affair won’t do him any favours and flip flopping from one principle to another is being noticed by the public .
I don’t buy the idea that this anti oil drive is supported by “ zealous activists”. They are civil terrorists and again the public is turning on their antics. You are right on the notion that business profit being seen as disgusting, Starmer, Rayner and Reeves seem to be as stupid as the Tories ( who are the party of business ) in spouting judgement without analysis or future thoughts simply because on the one hand Labour see it as an open goal for election, and on the other, Sunak is a mediocre banker who got lucky and will bend to any pressures to make him look good.
Sunak is the biggest thorn in the side of oil and gas. A spineless, photo op. grinning his head off as the country sinks into oblivion. Profit is a dirty word in Britain but the wheel will turn and eventually return. In time. Do we have the tenacity to wait this out with Enquest.
Sounds a bit like pump and dump patter to me.
I would not be averse to see AB moving on. Shareholders can only stomach “ jam tomorrow “ for so long.
Rubbish. It’s entirely this governments fault. They have bungled and squandered the economy for years and finally when they see next years election car crash looming, they knee jerk policies to get off the, oppositions hook. Sunak is a banker. , yes I spelled that correctly, and has moved to ensure his industry sector associates make hay while he can. Hunt is only there because he will do what Sunak wants, knowing it’s the last political role he will be given before he fades into oblivion. How has this country descended into a position where muppets are in charge of the economy. Maybe a third world war just might not be the worst idea ever.
My mistake , wanna -be pseudo intellectuals.
Dumbly, re vigilantism. I believe it is long past time we as a nation stopped viewing these disrupters as “ activists “ and see them in their true light as civil terrorists. As an earlier poster noted, they abuse our civil rights to suit an amorphous principle ( and often any principle they feel like adopting) but contain their attacks to a country which has become a soft touch and very reluctant to defend the civil rights of the vast majority of citizens who simply wish to go about their daily business. It is noted that these middle class terrorists do not appear on the streets of Beijing, Washington , Mumbai or any other nation who are high on the their league of offenders. Activists my foot, they are primarily attention seeking, wine bar intellectuals using civil terror tactics.
It’s purely political, the Tories are running scared of the socialists and keep them at bay by adopting Starmer’s demands. We’re on the way to a “ full blown windfall tax “ according to the left wing. But no worries, we can always have our energy needs met from importing oil, even from Russia post Ukraine.
Yes Modestus, but remember Truss was once a treasury spokesperson. Usual b**** bingo from them.
I’ve had your headache for the past five years Romaron. You’re not alone by any means. It’s the mushroom syndrome.
Chapeau Dumbly, a most incisive follow up to your first with Dr Evans. Excellent letter. I look forward to a response , but won’t hold my breath . More power to your pen . With your permission I intend to send a copy to my MP , who may see a golden opportunity to revive his standing in his party using this against the opposition.

Enquest’s communications have been my biggest bugbear for years.
The Secretary of State in charge of DECC at the time was Ed the Red Milliband. Any surprise that this zealot is pushing hard in his current mouthings to cover up his blunders.
Hunt has a dreadful track record , for six years he continually oversaw patient targets being missed by increasing amounts and stuck his head in the sand. We will get nothing from him. He is a business manager who can make a small fortune out of an organisation which started with a very large fortune.
Is AB a non dom ?
Romaron, thank you for your response. If I had the feedback on AB you have had I would very likely hold a similar view to yours
. I share your problem with expediency and short termism and perhaps consequently , put Enquest’s CEO in the firing line for reasons of frustration. Hope your belief in AB is borne out in coming weeks. Rgds. Mansardman
MRC. With your enhanced skill for identifying motive, don’t give up your day job, you’ll never be a detective. I’m a LTH happy to wait until the wind direction changes, and have more of a mature approach to holding equities than your puerile suggestion implies. I would like to see Bseisu adopting a more high profile role, I don’t think he does enough of it, nor does his communications fill me with delight. I believe a C E O should lead and be seen to lead.
Serious question to you, don’t you think Romaron is up to responding for himself.
