Nice one Romaron ??
Seen enough of you Krakenoil, you’re in the bin, goodbye.
Romaron, I am convinced that it’s not the economy that’s driving all these decisions,
particularly the windfall tax, it’s political actions keeping further criticism from busted flush actors. Jeez , anyone for a military coup?
Very good dear.
You amaze me KO, always moaning about Tullow. If you are that ****ed off, sell your holdings on here and buy Tullow. Or give us all a break.
Love your optimism re Labour.
Be helpful if some of that reality found it’s way onto the pages of the Guardian, but that’s like asking them to set up a climate change convention on the industrial complexes in China, the USA and India. Much easier to kick lumps out of good old UK where Virtue Signalling and political correctness are de rigour.
Spot on ZippyFrood, The political so called leaders in UK are not as pragmatic as some imagine, being more inclined to virtue signal than spell out the reality we face.
You are right that more energy leaders should state the facts and influence the debate.
In this respect where is AB? Under the bushel looking for his light?
Hosie's too busy advising Sturgeon on her oil options in the NS.
Be lucky indeed Romaron. How much will we need to counteract power hungry global politicians who see oil and gas as weapons to retain or gain power irrespective of the worlds need for them. We look to have an opposition party who are intent on ignoring the fact that we have no sensible transition plan to net zero, but will cheerfully echo the “ kill the fossil fuels “ clamour. As a nation we are zapped whichever ideology is in power. Not luck we need my friend, it’s a miracle. Are you any good at praying ?
I despair of politicians, of all hues. The conservatives have completely screwed their chances of maintaining power beyond the next election. Labour are shooting fish in a barrel led by people who will do and say anything to virtue signal.
I seriously doubt there are any on the opposition benches who care a fig for the UK energy industry, if it goes to hell in a handcart they will blame the Tories or Putin , while at the same time claiming credit for stopping oil. Jeez we are in the 1970s again.
Agree wholeheartedly !
I had really little hope of support from the Govt for the future of NS oil and gas operations until recent words from Kwarteng gave some hope. I’d say he was a supporter but with news of his P45 I think that hope has gone. Let’s see if Labour finishes the job of windfall taxing the eff out
us .
39.5 p.
Not if you've been a LTH since Jan 2017 it's not.
Hey KO you should maybe consider changing your handle to Jeremiah
God loves a believer .
Re Barclays analyst, his utterances would lead some to believe its personal against Bseisu .
L3. you don't have a clue whether the tax will be repealed or not. I get it that your stock in trade is controversy, but do give some evidence , please.
Love your optimism, hope you’re right, but four years ago we were betting on 60 p being not far off.
