Investment or gambling?9 Jun 2021 18:41
With regard to the PM I am considering it one of the best investment decisions that I have made. Since I took into account many factors, the overwhelming majority of which were confirmed and most importantly oil was discovered. So my decision has nothing to do with gambling. Another thing is that many untalented company executives, as well as corrupt officials very often can turn even the most excellent investment decisions not just into gambling, but into some kind of farce and even tragicomedy. And this is happening not only in Mongolia. In such a seemingly developed country as Sweden, which is considered almost a benchmark in the field of reliable capital investment in the mining sector, I made an investment 10 years ago in the company called Beowulf. Company has discivered a multi-billion dollar deposit of high-grade iron ore and applied for EL and do you think received it? No, and I am sure will not receive it for another 10 years, because even much more mediocre and idle CEO is sitting there simply parasitising on the expectations of naive investors. Thanks God I was quick enough to realise that there is no way to achieve success with such a CEO and left the company 5 years ago without losses. But with the PM I wasn't so lucky to leave on time and make huge profit. I got stuck clearly overestimating Mike's abilities both as a geophysicist and as a CEO. But let's hope that I am not quite right and this story is going to have happy ending.
