Both fuel cells but V.different markets. AFC - hydrogen from chlorine industry waste, from waste itself and more recently from UCG (Underground coal gasification). They extract hydrogen, burn it and generate electricity with minimal CO2 waste. CFU are after the residential market. The dream is that eventually we all stop having normal boilers and fit mCHP boilers instead generating energy in our homes rather than in old style power stations miles away. GL with your research.

Price in Oz down overnight and pound up against Oz $ slightly.

Interesting discussion on iii this weekend stemming from a CFU shareholder being pitched to by an EON salesteam, asking whether he plans to replace his boiler in the next 2-3 years! I've added the link below. I think many of us can see that the technology looks a bit pricey to begin with but it isn't entirely obvious that the householder will foot the entire bill to start with. Any views on why the opening is higher when it fell away at the end in Oz?

let's not forget the direction of the £ at the moment. Since I started watching these the GBP has shed over 10% against the AUS$. As the UK market follows OZ thishas added to the momentum.

Anyone who has followed this share for a while can see how it is driven by the market in Oz with London responding later. CFU has just been added to the ASX300 index and as such should attract buying from fund managers who are obliged to track the companies in the index.

I think this will depend more on news flow and how positive it is. They're gearing up for production, ahead of Ceres and there are more mainstream references to this type of energy generation. Personally I'm relaxed about CFU because I think there's some decent support around the 7.5-8p level and this industry just feels big. Have you checked out ACTA this week? M-I-S
