Been following AFC more distantly for the last year but this latest run of RNS’s has grabbed my attention again. What I’m trying to get my head around is just how close to real commercial orders we really are. Are the days /years of design, test, re-design, re-test etc really over? It certainly sounds like they are for the ev market. The last RNS also looked to be targeting just about all current uses of Pem technology. Are we really in a position to step in quickly here? Interested to hear just how close this board feels we really are.

Not all Telegraph writers take this approach. Evans-Pritchard, who can be a real Cassandra about some things, has picked up on the huge falls in the cost of electricity from wind/PV and tends to think the North Sea is ideal for wind. He also didn’t get hysterical about the ‘legacy’ idea of carbon zero by 2050 seeing it as more of an opportunity instead. I don’t think I’ve seen him mention batteries yet though.

At these prices RazorSchultz a buy back policy would be both temporary and pay for itself.

I think your point about the shorters being in control is important. It panics some and adds to sells and as you say it delays buys.
I’d like to see a buy back policy in action if only to restore some balance to this market. It would add a floor to the sp, create uncertainty for the shorters and encourage buyers .

Can anyone remember what the intraday low was when BMN released their RNS on 21/5 this year?

Almost as if someone was keen to dispel the notion that a seller had finished and a re-rate was about to start.

Two x 175k trades appeared though curiously gone through at identical times.

The existence of a seller/s can explain a floor but why would they want a ceiling?

Having halfed in price since its peak, the sp seems to be held in a 24-26p range. At 26p the round number selling outweighs the buys. Around 24p and the buying outweighs the round number sells. I’m asking myself who could benefit from this?
Not any shorters as the margins and lower volumes can’t be working significantly in their favour. I don’t understand the logic of a tame seller selling at a lower price when they could sell into a rising sp. Someone slowly trying to build a position but still under 3% would fit. Anyone got any other ideas?

This does feel more like it’s being held now than a short.
If it still is being shorted I don’t understand why. There must be far better opportunities elsewhere on the market for their attention.
If it’s being held, who by and why remains a mystery. We haven’t had a holdings RNS to give us a clue and we haven’t had a huge sell declared as I was expecting.
Long term looks very positive. I just feel like we’re hanging round like expectant fathers in the meantime knowing something huge is about to happen but not precisely when.

Just been mentioned again by our new PM albeit in connection with transport. No harm in him being keen on it.

I’m feeling more positive as well but I’m suspicious about the role of the A trades in the movement north. There always seem to be more of them in this share than any others I hold.

Some of the big trades recently haven’t been appearing until the following day. Next day of trading is Monday.

What a difference a maximum delay on reporting would make to market clarity.

Product managers to sell products - whatever next.

Thanks to everyone for the AGM write ups. It’s feels like a lot has been brought out into the open and with an actual product we can start to see a way back and into new market areas.

I think they need to move quickly to update the website and to clarify just what products they envisage for which markets both for their investors and potential customers.

The EV market should move quickly. Prices of new EV’s are now expected to be similar to petrol/diesel versions by as soon as 2022. Will the authorities want to encourage off grid electricity sources to take some pressure off the grid? I’d be interested to know the answer. Maybe Schroders know!

The CCC are calling for lorries and trains to be powered by hydrogen fuel cells. These sound like they’d need to be much bigger than those suitable for cars. Would anything AFC now aims to produce fit the bill?
