We are a long way forward from the JB days.

The leak of redress payments have currently stopped and FCA have agreed to this

We have a structure to limit the total amount of payments, when SoA is renegotiated

Customers votes in favour, it's better to get something rather than nothing... Our current share price highlights our position now is worse and therefore more risk of getting nothing.

FCA need a deal for customers I believe otherwise their heavy hand approach would have been for nothing.

Interesting next steps..

To ensure equal treatment of customers with redress claims, Amigo announced on 21 December 2020 that it was stopping the ongoing payment of redress claims as set out in the announcement of that date, and that position will continue.

NO redress payments will be made. Very clear in this morning's RNS, therefore we have stopped the leaking of millions.

Press pause and negotiate a deal which will get through.

Halting/delaying redress payments with FCA approval is a major positive for the business I believe.

We were previously leaking large amounts of money due to redress, now let's collect loan book and negotiate.

We were able to lend to keyworkers.

What is stopping Amigo using new technology to ensure affordable lending and restart.

All redress is on hold and that will come to a boiling point soon because the FCA will be under pressure to start the conversation, why couldn't we just put that on ice.

FCA want a better deal for customers.

At the moment NO redress is being paid until either a scheme is in place or admin.

No claims going to FoS at some point there will be pressure on both sides to do a deal.

How can the FCA say they are all about the customers and yet havent achieved anything for them ?

At the moment the FCA have achieved nothing for the customers they are protecting. There must be a solution, otherwise still customers will get no redress and I think claims will not be accepted by the FoS. With no claims accepted by FoS then there are no more £650 to charge Amigo.

Don't forget these CMC's want their money and I don't think they are regulated currently. So now the customer is in a worse position that before and will likely get a knock on the door soon from a debt collector from the CMC.

What is interesting at the moment, for those little darlings who went via CMC'S (because they can't read or write) and have a balance with Amigo, if Amigo have accepted the redress their balance will be reduced for that amount BUT the CMC's want their 30% before it applied because the CMC owns the relationship. So the little darling needs to pay 30% to the CMC before their balance gets reduced. Do our customers have that money lying around and more important can they get credit to borrow that. I think we will be seeing applications in future asking customers to declare if they had lending complaints previously. Then they will be excluded....
