It looks like the scrip divi. will be 1 share for every 88 you hold for those opting to take it. I think they publish the actual numbers tomorrow or Monday.

I'm afraid more like a falling GBP. To be honest it would probably be better [for those taking the scrip divi] if the price was to fall over the next 5 trading days [including today] as that will determine how many shares we will receive with the lower the price, the more shares the scrip will be.

Foxy are you sure???. I am showing ex-divi as 18/10 with the 7,10,11,12, and 13/10 average closing prices to decide the cost of or number shares allocation should you take the scrip divi as opposed to cash [thus avoiding the dreaded Spanish 20% withholding tax]

I have 5150 shares worth, at today's close, app. 19100 euros. This years divi is 21 euro cents x 5150 = 1081 euros 1081x100 = 108100 divided by 19100 = 5.65%. Of course one has to then deduct 20% Spanish withholding tax, reducing this to 4.52%. This is better than most, but would, of course, be far far better if it were not for the dreaded Spanish withholding tax. This all paid annually Aug 2016 5.5c Nov 2016 4.5c [Can be taken as shares, [scrip divi and no withholding tax] Feb 2017 5.5c. May 2017 5.5c. This means the latest divi should be 5150 x 5.5c = 283.25 euros - 20% = 226.60 euros = £192.00 @ 1.81 to the pound, All paid on around 10th or 12th August.[The exact date escapes me]

It is having a negative effect in SA and Nigeria [Africa's largest economy], so presumably Brazil and all the other country's BNC is involved with. The firm also recently declared a dividend, which will be paid on Tuesday, May 10th. Shareholders of record on Monday, May 2nd will be given a dividend of $0.044 per share. The ex-dividend date of this dividend is Thursday, April 28th. This is a positive change from Banco Santander,’s previous dividend of $0.04. This divi shown in US cents. Rokerman, Have searched for it again but unable to find it. If memory serves me right, it was on goggle finance. I feel sure that I also read the same dates as I wrote below on one of BNCs rns's. Perhaps you would do as well to wait for the inevitable drop on it's going ex-divi [if my dates are right that will be the 28/4] then make your purchase. Maybe you will do better, who knows.

According to the Morning Star, Ex divi is Thurs 28th April with a record date of Mon 2nd may, then paid on Thurs 10th May.

As I understand it, the divi is euro 5c in May and euro 5.5c cents every 3 months thereafter in the 2016 financial year [except for November which is euro 4.5c which can be taken in a scrip [shares] if so desired].

No, buy shares for the divi, 15 euro cents per ann. plus a scrip divi, approx. one for every 77 shares held. This equates to 5.15%. If all you are after is the quick profit, then I suggest a trip to the cassino or bookmakers might better suit your needs. This divi is almost double most european banks percentage divi, so yes perhaps these will double over the coming months or so. Should you know of any shares with a cast iron guarantee of better results than these then please enlighten us. I would suggest that you are someone who works for BC and feels trapped as there are no better prospects anywhere near where you live, cos if there were,from the way you post, you should take your skills and employability there.

It is family OWNED - the BOTIN's. The whole family own less than 1%. Trust me? never trust anyone who says trust me. These shares are on the floor because of the spanish/european political situation and also their interests in Brazil. I would suggest that if you think they have much further to fall then you sell your holding and buyback in at the lower price you think they will fall to. Personally I am happy with the divi which pays, at the moment 4.81 percent after all deductions as a standard rate taxpayer. Where else can you get that sort of return.?? My shares are held with hsbc invest direct and they allow me to swop between taking the cash, [not a good idea as the divi suffers a 20% spanish withholding tax] or taking the scrip shares, which this time is 1 share for every 103 held. You would, if you wanted the cash, be better off taking the shares and then selling them yourself depending on the brokers commision and the number of shares you receive. That one you will have to work out for yourself. Finally, there is only one scip divi each financial year and this ones it!!

Closed today at £4.591/4 on the sale of 6 shares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after trading between 14.33 and 1628 at a minimum of £4.621/4 and a maximum of £4.651/4 on almost 57,000 shares. What sort of fiddle is this when the divi in shares is based on 5 days closing prices [admit idly, not on today's closing price], but, how easy it must be to rig the prices if this is anything to go by.

One hopes that all the share holders,[not just the institutional investors] will vote at the May 23rd AGM against this mans attempt to steal Office 2 Office. If he wants to take the company over then whats wrong with a take over offer in the normal manner, or, is the present share price to high for him. With the company trading at .24p or so and still trading at a profit how cheap does this guy think it should be.????? Who wants a part share of any company in Albania and even more so an American financial investment company. Lets all tell him to travel off 3500 miles west.
