Marcel your posts got me looking back over the old news from the Guyana drills... I wasn't invested back then so hadn't paid too much attention to the details but OMG what an absolute c*** up that campaign was! That or we really are incredibly unlucky and Exxon literally have everything!
In some ways this reminds me of Desire in Falklands...drilling everywhere but the oil whilst RKH in the next block were hitting the jackpot.
3 oil discoveries and none commercial whilst Exxon are literally shooting fish in a barrel! We literally drilled an appraisal for Exxon on Hamerhead and confirmed none of it runs into our acreage! You couldn't make it up! Please tell me the exploration team have been fired because I refuse to believe we don't have commercial oil with 20 odd discoveries next door.
Any ideas on Exxon drilling plans for this year? A few drills closer to our block's border may derisk some prospects.

Not an expert but generally it means good quality sands. If there was oil here in a commercial quantity the quality of the sands would mean that oil could be extracted.
shawz007 - I am a holder here but do not agree with your assessment here "The well brought up good oil, just not enough".
There were minor oil shows...so the good news is that there is good reservoirs and there is evident of some oil but the trap failed so this is a duster. Question will be whether there are other prospects where the oil could be trapped. Also we have no idea on quality of oil either. This is a duster no doubt about that...the best we can hope for is the technical analysis comes back with some good news of other prospects in our acreage based on the findings from this well.
Well results were known by some yesterday and they used it as an opportunity to sell down in advance with buy orders ready to buy back at a big discount this morning. RNS would usually have a bit more info...seems rushed because the board probably realised the news had leaked already and needed to get something out. Still interested to see the full details of the results. It is a duster but what does this tell them about the rest of the acreage? Good reservoir with oil shows...where did it go?
I feel sorry for those that sold out or got stopped out...too many PIs probably have scars from other exploration companies...a duster with no production is completely different to what we have here. The bounce this morning tells you all you need to know. Hold.
Spud was late January ... Could be drilling into the pay zone in a couple of weeks. Now that would be some story after the year we have had and the recent recovery!
Thanks for the replies all. Agree there is more to come here... And I'm not looking to sell any time soon. Also in Tullow and have been for some time.. Although it is flying now it has been an absolute roller-coaster... So it is great to finally see the rise and I think there is plenty upside to go.
I'm looking forward to the next Enq update. A partner for Bressay would be good.
We seem to be taking a breather after the recent gains and consolidation at this level is a good thing given where we were only a couple of months ago....but where does it go from here?
The current SP is now pretty much exactly where it was at the start of last year with oil slightly higher now than it was back then. We have to go back to the 2018 H1 for a consistently higher SP than today (when oil was higher than today too)...before the ENQ SP started to slide in the second half of the year.
I don't understand the obsession with Happy on this board. It is always good to have views from both sides...ultimately it is up to you make the decision that suits you. I am long here but I welcome Happy's posts...what is the point in having a board just for ramping? If you don't like the poster stick them on ignore.
Barclays analysts called the news “a small positive” for GSK. It is only entitled to 27.5 per cent of profits from the drug.
“The company does see this asset as having blockbuster potential, but that will very much depend on the shape of the pandemic going forward,” they wrote in a research note.
Look generally in line with expectations. This caught my eye: Morrisons on Amazon' is now available in c.50 towns and cities, and already accounts for more than 10% of sales in the majority of our stores where we offer the service
Morrisons is supplying the new Amazon Fresh grocery store which opened last week
For me it is a hold. Also glad to see the SP has stabilized and has not shot up in anticipation of the update only to be sold into after as we have seen so often.
Seems to be a lot of M&A activity now that oil prices have rebounded...particularly in the north sea. This is the time to keep hold of your shares...I think there are more M&A/Partnership announcements to come and Enq itself could get taken out.
On a march here and much more to come from Meggitt. They seem to have weathered the storm without any additional funding required...plenty of upside to go here.
I think you are referring to a subsequent RNS today. I was referring to the RNS at 7AM this morning. But either way I agree that it is excessive in these times.
