Wakey wakey.... bid announcement imminent IMO. GLA

I was lucky enough to get into Halfords under £1 and I am still holding after these results. This share has behaved similarly on recent announcements and has then climbed steadily after an initial retrace. Looking at the price action today the market doesn't quite know how to value this yet. IMO this was a really good update and this is a healthy business. I was not expecting an announcement on dividends today like some had suggested purely for the reason that Halfords has used the Furlough scheme and it wouldn't look great if they started paying dividends whilst claiming from government covid related schemes. I have no doubt the Divi will be reinstated at the appropriate time. Hold and add on any dips for me.

I sold out at the end of June on the news of the CEO departure and because I needed the cash to invest elsewhere. Im back in today and can't believe the current sp. They need to get a move on with appointing a new CEO and get click and collect running on their site. I ordered from them this week and the online offering is good and the personalised cards are great value but they have to get click and collect up and running to differentiate between the online only sellers.

Hopefully this is close to the bottom.

Fantastic day today for Halfords and reward for the holders who held on like EC... who was often talking to himself here!

My first buy was 69p and I have added on the way up and also traded some along the way. My core holding is still in and there was no way I was selling today. This has more legs yet. Well done holders.

Yep...SP just about holding for now. I think it will end flat today or slightly down. At least we haven't seen the sell off we saw on the last update. The assault on £2 will have to wait for now but hopefully not too long.

Agreed. Good update but very cautious tone. I wonder how much of that is because of participation in government covid schemes.

Looking solid into results. Volume is up, nice rise and if the results are a bit more upbeat than the last update this will break 200p tomorrow and go into a new range. I'm staying in as I think garage revenue should have recovered with cars coming back on the road and MOTs being needed again plus bike servicing etc...

Looking good for another assault on £2. It has not managed it the last few times and retreated all the way back. This time I think it will break through the resistance and enter a new range.

167/168 seems to be a key level. If the SP can hold this level we could see a nice break out here

It was this price at the start of June in the middle of lockdown! We now have 3 potential bidders plus and a trading update due very soon. This will be the last we see of the 20s

Same. Added here this morning too. Cannot believe I was able to get under 30p. Bonkers.

5M shares traded already. No way this finishes under 30 today. Don't be fooled by early morning SP action here. 3 bidders. Trading expected only slightly lower than last year. Short will have to close now...and there is a lot of them!

Ready for lift off. 40p bid. Expect 30p tomorrow.

No mention of CEO appointment. Update is not bad but not great either.

This announcement together with an uptick in demand for garage /mot services as cars get back on the Road should boost this sp. 160p first stop.

RI not placing. Happy to participate in fund raise unlike Easyjet placing.
