Had to remain patient with this one...but I'm glad I didn't get bored and sell. Finally looks to have turned a corner. Onwards and upwards...plenty more to go imo.

A couple of encouraging statements from the update :
"Hunting's order book grew further during the quarter and now exceeds pre-pandemic levels, supporting management's view that global drilling activity and investment is improving."

"The sharp increase in global commodity prices is also leading to an increase in industry investment sentiment, with energy security and oil and gas reserve depletion driving a new phase of growth. Hunting remains well positioned to take advantage of this improving market environment."

Certainly seems range bound. Could be someone accumulating in background. Either way... Sp needed to consolidate after being in free fall for months. I see it as a good sign. it will break out of this range eventually.... Hopefully later this week ;)

I really did not want to average down here again...last time I added was in December. Sub 90p is crazy but I have said that all the way down from £2! Looks to have consolidated in this range, I'm pretty sure the results will break this out one way or the other....hopefully above £1 but given what we have seen with this share just as much chance of it breaking to the downside again and testing support lower.

This will come good eventually. GL all.

Chances of Enquest buying this? Does it make strategic sense for Magnus? This paragraph stood out:

This gas was derived from BP-operated fields such as Clair and Schiehallion hundreds of miles away in the West of Shetland area, and had to be bought from the UK major once EnQuest took over. EnQuest has now decided pressure levels can be supported using water alone, Penrose said.

"We reviewed the sub-surface and the benefit of that and have just gone back to a traditional water-flood so we're no longer reliant on that West of Shetland gas. In a way you're in control of your own destiny now rather than another source of gas to support you," he told the Offshore Europe industry conference earlier in the week

Great to see a positive SP reaction to an update...finally....we deserve one after all this time.

AB could have shouted it off the roof tops but maybe he opted for caution and to avoid negative spin regarding windfall taxes etc. But for those who care to read between the lines, the debt reduction so far this year tells you all you need.

Surely he got out all the bad news in the last update. I gave him the benefit of doubt on the last few updates but this time there will be no excuses... If the market read the update as negative then for me AB will never deliver. Last chance AB... don't let us down!

Sorry to hear that Falky. Hopefully you free up some cash to have some part in what may come... But there have been so many false dawns (been in since pre strike) that maybe better out ??. I have written off these shares a long long time ago! GL

Does recent events make HBR reconsider letting go of Falklands oil? Would the government want the acreage going into foreign hands?

Does this change Italy's view of O&G production? Could they offer the acreage back with a smaller pay out and guarantee approvals?

This could be a very significant period for RKH... maybe just maybe the year of the Rock!
