I have not posted much as I’ve been busy with other things than sit on this board all day but when I have looked in “Mr Happy rats” has dominated the conversation with his consistent repeating his views of “it’s over”. Yet here we are 18 months later and FRR are still here and not wound up despite deep debt, GG calling them liars over Arb results, too many CC to mention and all over a piece of real-estate that has no value according to some.
I refrained from commenting on the supposed Arb document as I without all of the supporting annex’s and legal eye I would probably make the wrong assumptions.

What I see is ZaZa doing what he can (and now supported by Steve) in what can only be very difficult and worrying times. Will he come out with the operational part of B12 (this will be big win) or will the others gain from the half a billion invested by FRR (us).

All I will say is that nothing posted on this BB will influence the final outcome but may give PR opportunities to those fighting FRR.

On an other side nice to see C5 posting again like him or not he has in the past should a very good understanding of the political situation and called out the difficulties that we are seeing now a couple of years back. A poster I personally read.

As of BP they have been building cash reserves now or a couple of years that must run into the ten’s of billions. They are also trimming down (moving slowly away/diversifying from the old oil based model) and focusing of low emission energy platforms. However, I expect to see acquisitions in these areas that will produce results and help stabilise SP and increase market confidence. A portfolio with high long term low cost reserves of energy (low emission) is better than cash in the bank. Georgia if they have “any” of this would be more than attractive to BP as they have a route to market (Europe) and need to fill a rather large pipeline. So a win win – quick to market and a better bottom line and killing two birds with one investment.

Translation of old TV interview proposal
Our translator has found a Zaza interview from a month ago, runs for 20 mins and has asked if we want it translated. He didn't quote a price but I expect it will be around US$60-70 and will take a couple of days. As it's a month old, I think we should vote on it so will send two proposals and will close the vote my time tonight, or before if the outcome looks obvious.

What sort of people invest in vulture funds like SH's Outrider Master Fund? Take a wild guess? Lawyers want to win cases, therefore, when a client has 'smoking gun' evidence that will win the case they will want to use that evidence. If FRR have that evidence with Troy Rillo from YA, they may not want to use it due to an agreement made when the CRS was made with Troy Rillo and YA. FRR just want to drop the case, but without prejudice, so that they don't have to pay fees and the possibility remains of taking SH/O to court in the future. This could even be by the ex-shareholders of FRR after a deal with the super majors, or by a FRR as a shell company after selling Block 12 and the Moldova license. Why would ZM, SN and the shareholders want to take SH/O to court if there's a buyout of FRR? Well, if the figure was lower than was possible due to the time constraints because of SH/O, then I'm sure many would want to go down this path.

Zaza's security
There have been numerous posts here mentioning how ZZ needs to be careful of his personal security due to his effectively obstructing Russian plans in Georgia. Over the last 2 days, it has emerged that a Chechen hit man has been arrested in Georgia for planning the attempted murder of a Georgian TV anchorman who had been rude to Mr. Putin during a TV interview. The Chechen government (the Chechen Republic is a Russian territory) is known for it's brutality and is dependent on Moscow's support and finance. It is also becoming notorious for doing Russia's dirty work for them.
On 15/06/20 it was reported that the arrest had been made by Georgian security services. The director of Mtavari Arkhi TV has said that the Ukrainian government knew of the murder plot "co-ordinated from Russia" months ago, but did not inform Georgia because "Georgia was not a trustworthy partner when an enquiry is launched against a Russian national"!
In their reaction to the arrest, the Georgian government made no mention of Russian involvement and intimated that the issue was being used for "narrow political interests" in the run-up to the election!

gassa, Some people have been invested in this for over 10 years and you'd struggle to get anyone to explain what is happening with this share in any form of English.

The share is currently private so you can't sell or buy your shares. The only way you'll get your money back is if the firm allocate a dividend - even in the best circumstances you'll be waiting a bare minimum of a year for that to happen imo - or they relist on a stock exchange, and again that is unlikely to be in the near future if at all.

The latest position is that the GOGC have given Frontera notice of termination for July 27th, which means if that happens then you will have lost your money. Frontera dispute the legality of this so what you will probably see is some court action from Frontera before then putting a hold on the termination whilst it goes back to the court, unless some sort of agreement is made before then. Whatever happens in the end, if you come back this time next year we'll probably still be none the wiser.

gassa - FRR has lots of problems, but don't despair. It's certainly complicated, but the company is still fighting hard and it really could still come good. A lot depends on the Georgian general election in October (as I said, it's complicated!). Just keep a weather eye open (if nothing else it can be entertaining) and hope for the best.
I should add that this BB is under regular (indeed, permanent) attack from organised, unscrupulous professional shorters who have a great deal to lose if FRR should succeed. They really do spend hours here, and you've already heard from one of them - he's here every day and hardly ever sleeps! The fact that they're so very worried is an obvious indication that there is a lot of life in this old dog yet!

Anyone writing the book on this saga will have to spend a lot of time doing it.

So we have two “documents” posted in a week - the 170 page PDF of the Arbitration Award (which was then quickly taken down) and this. They both look bona fide but of course it is difficult to prove one way or another, and in both cases releases would cross any accepted boundary regarding confidentiality. Whatever - one has to wonder why anyone would go to such extraordinary lengths to release false or even doctored documents on a share that cannot be traded and that looks pretty low in the water (or even below the water). And yes, it may all be about the politics now, but what on earth is the advantage of releasing in this way?

There is another theory of course. That the battle has got so dirty that both GOGC and the Company are engaged in tit for tat releases of privileged information. Bizarre in itself but even more bizarre that LSE is used as the vehicle by anonymous sources with very short and single purpose posting histories. But of course most observers out there couldn’t give a toss one way or another - apart that is from shareholders with LSE being the most frequently accessed and read site.

I will take some small comfort in the fact that unknown persons are of the view that using a discussion board in the UK is in some minor way capable of influencing a deeply rooted US v Georgian dispute. You really couldn’t make this stuff up.

I notice that Bryce Linsnmeyer and Steve Nicrandros are both given the above title in Zaza's letter to the GOGC requesting a conference call. Is this some kind of company war cabinet ? How are Frontera funding all this legal backing ? They certainly have a formidable adversary, so, while this new information is welcome, the battle is not easily won. Also worth noting that Bryce says the assets are estimated at more than $1 billion. I think we are all hoping for much more !

Zen, I was just going to comment on that. $1 Billion assets is peanuts in relative terms and would certinly not warrant hundreds of millions in investment in order to extract. For that reason changes were made in production sharing agreements concluded by the government and an investor too. The changes became necessary after the merger of Oil and Gas corporations with Saqnavtobi.

Government and investors are equally represented in the coordination committees, which will monitor the implementation of terms and conditions agreed by the parties. Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, representing the state in investors’ relations, has already chosen the members and of the committee. From investor companies, Anadarko and Can Argo have already introduced the list of the members.

The state has concluded PSA’s with Can Argo Georgia, Anadarko and Frontera Resources Georgia. The agreements reached with these companies lay foundation for the coordination committee. The committee meetings are to be held once every quarter. In case of necessity, the meeting can be held any time.
