Jens Stoltenberg told Georgia to prepare for NATO membership last Autumn. Why do you think it has happened yet? IMHO the parliament has to stable and NATO, the USA and the EU want to be sure of Georgia's alignment to the West, plus a commitment to the ADC and the EU's energy supply. There's no point in ease of business, if it's just as easy to have the GG appropriate the business. Foreign investment needs security. IMHO this is also why the EU membership and the US Georgia Support Act haven't been accomplished yet. IMHO it's all linked.

Dulwichman - I agree with your post and I have stated many times that instead of lurching between the positive and negative that SH's need to look at the whole picture. IMHO the EU, NATO and USA are not just interested in Georgia because of it's strategic position, but because the control of the EU's energy is at stake. IMHO if Georgia's only assets were it's wine and tourism, then I don't think there would be so much interest.

Njames - Bryce D. Linsenmayer works for Taylor English. He also represented FRR when they had their IPO, so possibly also has shares in FRR. If my memory is correct Earsbern posted that FRR have about a dozen top lawyers in the team representing them. How are these lawyer's being paid for when there's difficulty selling oil and the control of the sales have been in ZM's hands? The insurance was for the directors, not for the company if my memory is correct, hence the non-payment of Mourant and the lack of representation in the arbitration.

tsbs - I have never stated a DEFINITE DEAL. All my assumptions are IMHO. As for the oil, I still think T39 is a gusher, but because of the associated gas not being allowed to be flared, it's probably had to be capped until the required infrastructure is in place.

FRR didn't have money to pay Mourant or for legal representation in the arbitration, but have taken on top lawyers like KCEH and Bryce D Linsenmayer. Where's the money come from? IMHO they are acting on no win, no fee.

There should be no reason why with political pressure that Block 12 is transferred to FRUS. SN was expecting ZM to have sorted out the registration, which hadn't happened due to a technicality if I remember right. If this happens and the debts are left in FEGL with the 5% R A. As long as the PSA is extended at the same time , then there is a possibility of a deal, which could clear all debts and allow 'continued growth'. IMHO SH/O can only get paid if there's a deal for Block 12 and if the GG take back Block 12, then it could have a negative effect on investment into Georgia and also US Aid.

Sorry for the second message as the first didn't show, so I wrote it again, but slightly differently.

SH/O sent a letter to the GG begging for a deal on Block 12 or for the debt owed by FRR to be passed onto whoever takes over Block 12. At the time this seemed strange, as ZM, Uncle Sam and the EU had stopped the GG from using the arbitration to take back Block 12. I wonder if SH/O knew of the links between ZM and GC and expected the GG to take back Block 12?
