Tbilisi (BPI) - The change in top management of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation.
After the departure of Davit Tvalabeishvili from the corporation, the position of the Director General is vacant again, Givi Bakhtadze is the director of commercial issues.
The Board of Directors has been fully updated. Tornike Gotsiridze, Acting Director of Commercial Issues at this time, Archil Dekanosidze has been appointed as Director of Technical Issues. He was the deputy of Zakaria Avaliani.
The financial director was Omar Ogbaidze who replaced David Vardiashvili. Ogbaidze was an adviser to GOGC in relations with investors.
The management team joined Ekaterine Sisauri, who was supervising the corporate property. Sisauri was earlier the head of the State Property Agency.
Davit Tvalabeishvili moved to the position of Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Georgian State Electrosystem. He replaced Sulkhan Zumburidze on the post."
This follows on from Steve Nicandros’ letter to the Ministry of Energy a while back accusing the organisation of corruption and incompetence, and it seems that the new Energy Minister has made a clean sweep. This is music to this shareholder’s ears, but it might also explain why there is currently a bit of a news hiatus, in particular relating to the well plan for 2019.
