Having a beef with your Branch is one thing it happens to all of us at one time or another. But this is much bigger than that as you are well aware. Just turn the ballot paper over and look at the bullet point which deals with the pipeline. Now think how that is going to affect you because it will I promise you that. But its not only that. Look at what Rico who I have to say is well out of his depth running this company, is trying to do. He is trying to completely downgrade every single function and destroy the pipeline as we know it at present. If he achieves this is the beginning of the end for this industry you really need to consider that. But its not just that, RM and the CWU historically have always been joined up on protecting the USO but not with this man. He is dangerous and he will destroy this industry until there is nothing left. And all the so called speculators who think they are going to get megarich off this man will believe in everything he is doing. seriously look at the list look at the dangers to us all. 1974 you know nothing. Why is it always about job losses? The way to get the business thriving is to take on the opposition not attack hard working employees. They have done absolutely nothing to get new work even though they have the full support of the CWU to do so. Nah he cannot be trusted, he has gone back on the deal already after 18 months he has openly said to our negotiators why do I have to negotiate with the CWU. We don't dance to his tune that aint happening and he has never faced a trade union as strong as our anywhere

Royalmail Do you accept that in selling of PF they have gone against Section 14 of the Agreement they signed up to 18 months ago. And therefore our dispute is totally legitimate. This is notwithstanding the back tracking on the shorter working week?

@Fruit lets have a little think about how wrong you are. We will be at peak there the highest mail volumes of the year and we have never taken action in November before. Let me assure you of this. Two days of strike action will completely destroy the network it will take weeks to get back to normal may be even a month that's how much mail will be in the system. I promise you two days will be more than enough to have Rico back on track. You still have no idea what is going to happen do you oh its going to be great.

There are plenty of things we can do as well. Stop coming in early take our breaks use the right equipment. Just doing those three things would bring this industry to its needs mail would pile up trust me on that. And there would be absolutely nothing at all that the employer could do about it.

You see a poll has just finished on whether postal workers should strike. 9,900 people took part, 397 voted against, 9503 said they would vote for strike action. that is 96/4% ratio. Take us on Rico we are ready from Penzance to john o groats there are 120,000 of us we are many they are few and he will be gone soon enough if he doesn't back track and get back on board with the agreement that was signed about 18 months ago
