On the plus side it was in shares and not cash. The equivalent payment was £5m at today's market price. It's in their interest for the share price to recover over coming months. I will however be closely watching any salaries for this year and make sure they reflect this years performance and not based on the hay day of sales from last year.
I can also see a rise tomorrow in my opinion as news filters through to the various news feeds. Could do with GM spending just an hour on an interview. DHSC discussion for legal reasons can't come into it but there is lots more to shout about. He is a busy man, but an hour can do wonders. Don't over promise, keep it grounded and reiterate the achievements we have made and are making.
If those trades aren't manipulation I don't know what is. Too much of a coincidence. They can't hold it back forever, but agreed on the production numbers and DHSC progress being the major information needed for the big rise. These will come in time, I have patience.
I have finally got a few days break from work and visiting a friend in County Durham. I got a couple of days with my friend and her son but he now has to self isolate at his dad's place due to ANOTHER outbreak at the local school. Many schools apparently closing regularly because of outbreaks. There is a local acknowledgement about what's to come, but outside of these regions people feel nice and safe. Vaccination is making a positive difference but don't forget this time last year we were in the same position. People are putting the low death rates down to vaccination, and I hope they are right. It is however the safer time of year and people are starting to travel and mingle more. In the meantime on the bus back yesterday there were NHS staff without face masks on aswell as many passengers. Complacency is the biggest concern here so testing needed more than ever.
Well, bad news is out of the way hopefully. Starting wearing my lucky St Christopher in the hope of the long waited LFT Rns. I suggest lucky pants should be worn by whoever wears them and whatever lucky charms you all have. Bring on the good times. :)
Still none the wiser on the dispute. Cash in the bank, let's start looking at post covid (not that it's gone away). The framework is being built including significant US presence. The ride has just begun. Sure as hell not selling at this kinda price. Got to be honest tho, if an offer over £8 came I would be out. 6 months ago it would have been £15. 6 months time it may well be £15 target again. Adapt with the times. Lots of positives to come.
Porky, whilst I admire your enthusiasm but given the present circumstances I don't think we can say that £3.50 is worst case scenario. My personal minimal fair value prior to the announcement was £6.50. We can expect an impairment charge, albeit temporary hopefully. It's just a case of how much, and just as importantly WHY. Get the bad stuff out of the way and rebuild. I am holding regardless, counting down the minutes until we finally get some answers. GLA, and I mean everyone. This company has worked tirelessly, I hope it is rewarded for it's efforts.
If you genuinely believe that Joker then you aren't following the Science as they say. It gives a much better chance yes, how long any resistance lasts is to be determined.
Joker, whilst we are all very disappointed with the share price I ask you who else would have done a better job? This company has come from next to nothing and whilst there are a few changes we would like to make then these come with time. My biggest frustration is with the system. Given Novacyt's achievements the fact that they aren't valued higher than £3.50 a share is not GMs fault. There are many companies who have achieved less but valued higher. DHSC have a lot to answer for. I really want to find out what it was all about to make final judgement. Until then, the sales we have achieved and the products we have developed deserve recognition for the hard work the company has put into it.
1: Agreed, for DHSC to come to their senses and realise Novacyt have contributed significantly towards the cause and could be the national Diagnostics champion they are looking to come out of this situation.
2: Takeover of an affordable established diagnostics company who lack the funding to take their non covid plays to the next stage. For me it's Genedrive. I am no longer a shareholder so not a tip as it would take our funds to progress their non covid treatments. Without it they are looking at fund raising and hence dilution. Value for money.
3: Once these are initiated, a PR blitz stating our intentions for the future and congratulating our world class R & D department
So Joker, the government is worried about it and they don't share their concerns unless they really have to. Please share your infinite wisdom to the responsible government committee so they can sleep at night. It would be much appreciated.
It will be interesting to see if Oddo change their forecast when the new LFT tests are released. Targeting 1 million tests a week production in my personal view I can't see that they would have any choice. Any impact of these tests is only going to be positive.
Well, thanks for all the great information from regular faces here. I apologise for not being a regular input here but working 7 day weeks. I hope to be very much more optimistic on this share in a few weeks time, hopefully it pans out as hoped for. For me I still think get rid of Euronext, and what the hell is Oddo here for? Their predictions for the company don't allow for anything our R&D can come up with. They aren't qualified to predict future earnings.
Sorry Porky, but both agree and disagree with you at the same time. The tests we have available to the market right now are what the government should be buying. Whilst they are buying in smaller quantities, the LFTs are where the big money goes. We will soon be best in the market. Not expecting £3bn orders, but a fraction of that and the skies the limit. I admire your optimistic outlook, and whatever happens as long as it has a positive impact all round then we can't ask for more.
