People want holidays, I get that. Now we have our variants test is in the framework we can have more confidence, but ONLY if they use it. Ditch inferior products and use our 1 that works. We continue to be gold standard. Now Boris, show us what your standards are. If you want a full opening of the economy then you need a test that continues to find new variants. If another lockdown happens, don't let it be because you haven't done your job properly.
Just finished the longest days work. A good day, definitely see lots of positives in the next few weeks. I agree, airline industry should stay closed for another couple of months. We are doing the big social experiment at the moment with the lifting of restrictions. We won't know for a month if it comes good. Anything more is undue risk. The jump in the share price hopefully can wait til Friday. Selfish I know but just got paid by cheque and want to finally get that top up. Working literally every day for next 2 months. After that I don't want lockdowns, want to see some of the summer.
It is hard to be positive when your ship is in stormy waters. Just have confidence that the ship is seaworthy and any repairs are being done as we speak. I have the belief that the tranquil waters and clear blue skies will arrive imminently and we will be looking for an island to bury all our surplus treasure. I see no benefit in abandoning a seaworthy ship, the next 1 will be sold as seen and we know this 1 has had 1 careful owner. :)
Agreed Butchers, I genuinely believe it will be £12 again. Whilst it can presently be deemed a covid stock it has lots of cash to diversify and that's what we're gonna do. Testing is still here, lots to play for.
ValJu, why can't the investment be for both. Every company I invest into has to be an ethical investment, and have a British element to it also. Best case scenario, we have helped needy countries for minimal cost from a company who have done good in a dire situation whilst advertising our gold standard to the world. Worst case scenario we have just done a good thing in general, bottom line cost of circa £1m. I totally agree with it.
I am sure the Chinese stance on the situation was VERY pro active. Surprising how low the numbers were in the country of origin. Methinks human rights may have been infringed more than a little. Here in the Western world, testing is the way to go. It would just be ironic if it continues to be made in China, time to make our mark.
Agreed Butchers, that was the plan. It would be earnings enhancing in the short and long term plus the increase in the share price PRIOR to the big launches would protect us more from a low ball takeover offer.
B2H, agreed that the war chest wouldn't be the biggest at circa £90m after share buyback but for me I would like a smaller target we can organically grow with additional funds. If the target is already reaching it's potential then we will have to overpay. That's why they aren't rushing, we need to be savvy as we won't get too many chances.
Does anyone else consider a small share buyback would be good use of cash. I am thinking 5% to 10% buyback which they should be able to do without hurting the bank balance much. It will protect us a little bit from a hostile takeover
Porky ShaunP and crew, if Larry is right then I have 1 question. How good is your French? Maybe a stint on the French bulletin board aswell is better. You guys work hard enough anyway, it may be a channel tunnel too far. :). Your contributions are definitely appreciated. If you see any copycats on the French site then it means I have used google translate on the most important posts. I am thinking PorQuoi and ShaunPierre. Lol
Fair point Saintsmith, I don't recall my comment but apologies if that was the case. Definitely a lot more laid back nowadays and hectic with work anyway so only check in once and a while. Most of the time it is outside of market hours. Regardless of daily movement in the share price I personally will review my situation by the end of July. Very confident, frustrated also. That said and done I should finally be able to add a few more shares next week. This company has got me breaking all my rules of investment such is my confidence. That's not a ramp, my personal view and time will tell if we are right. GLA
More of a tongue in cheek ramp Saintsmith, but yep you are right. I should have put the ramp alert notice in there. :). I am frustrated as the next person but genuinely feel the tide is about to turn. There comes a point where MMs can't play their games any more.
Personally I would like to see the shorters wait just a few more days before closing their positions. That way they can be punished for an unethical practice in an ethical investment. Hit them where it hurts, the wallet. :)
Don't you dare give up Porky, you have shown positivity in the good times and bad times. It is only a short space of time since we were near previous highs. New product lines will give us a nitro boost and this company continues to innovate. As has been mentioned, the DHSC issue has given the market an excuse. Resolution, and let's face it we know the product works and it is world class rated so is an accounting issue with bureaucrats, will be resolved and we will be kicking proverbial again. Only a few more weeks. Hold in there buddy.
To all those holders who bought at significantly higher prices, your patience is appreciated. To those who bought for a quick buck in 2 weeks and no plan b, your exit will be appreciated when the new faithful arrive soon. To longterm holders, your commitment hasn't gone unnoticed. To those who have had no faith in this short recent period, soooooo looking forward to I told you so in a few weeks time. Sorry, less than diplomatic but don't want to sugar coat it.
It makes you wonder what the company has to do to get fair value. It's obvious to me that the problem isn't what they are doing but the market on which we are listed. Hopefully this will be addressed asap.
