It absolutely will not escalate and anyone that thinks it will is extremely naive.
NATO against Russia means all out thermonuclear war. At that point, everyone dies, the markets no longer matter.
Again, stop fearmongering, nothing will come of this. Be real.
LOL they can't even fire missiles accurately into the country next door to them and you are worried about their hypersonic missiles? Get outta here.
The Russian army has been sorely revealed for the fraud it is. When every department is lead by corrupt leaders, nothing works! Decades of Russian provincial leaders pocketing government money has lead to systemic failure. I suspect their nuclear ****nal is about as well maintained as everything else is that corrupt, broken country.
No way they are a threat to anyone, let alone the might of the US army.

Perhaps because the economy is inexorably linked to the fallout from Brexit and the economy is also inexorably linked to the Lloyds share price?
Perhaps people on here wouldn't keep on banging on about it, if the far-right loons didn't have their hand stuck in the sand about the obvious reality of the country. Instead they are living in a fantasy land where everything is fine, the economy is fine, the Tories can do no wrong, and the EU is the devil.
It's just completely detached from reality.

No one is questioning the vote. No one is saying the vote was illegitimate, but the world doesn't just stop after a vote.
You don't have to defend it, you can do whatever you want, but it's clear the only reason none of you DO defend it, is because you can't.
All you can do is act like children saying "get over it", as though that is sufficient response to everything that is happening right now.
Everyone that is against Brexit has hundreds of examples of it being a bad idea, because it is affecting millions of people up and down the country. You don't have to defend it, but if you have nothing to debate, then don't say anything at all.
Let the adults in the room talk.
"Remoaners", "get over it"
Why are you lot such absolute children? You know why people resort to name-calling and derisive epithets? Because they have nothing intelligent to actually say.
If you are capable of defending Brexit, then defend it. If you can point to any benefits of Brexit, then do so. If you believe in something, explain why. People are happy to listen.
But if all you can do is act like a stroppy teenager, then you're never going to look like the adult in the room.
Loki, the man is literally a paranoid old fool.
He can't ever defend any position or ideology he has, so just goes on random tangents about people having multiple accounts.
Why someone would have multiple accounts on here I have no idea.. I don't understand the logic of the guy, but then again I don't think anything they say or believe is actually based on logic.
Your account was banned because you don't ever shut up and spam the forum with 100 stream-of-consciousness messages. Even if I agree with the general gist of some of what you say, you just say too much. And this is coming from the resident essay writer that is me.
You're almost as insufferable than the right-wingers on here, but at least they let other posters get a word in occasionally.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me present to you the intelligence of your average Brexit voter. It's like talking to an actual insane person.
Our economy is SMALLER than it was before the pandemic. That isn't growth, you utter idiot. By its very definition, it is the opposite of growth.
If your brain shrinks in half today and then tomorrow grows back 50%, you are still left with a brain 75% of its original size. That is what I am assuming has happened to you.
Someone this economically illiterate shouldn't be allowed near a computer, let alone a financial forum. You're a moron.
There really is little point arguing with you if you just keep repeating the same thing over and over and expecting, somehow, that it's going to mean something magical the tenth time around. I can't stress this enough, you are thick.
Australia is quite literally on the other side of the planet, surrounded by the vast economies in Asia. What in god's name could we possibly over them in a trade deal? In terms of technology, argiculture, and manufacturing, we don't compare at all.
Every single country that wants to trade with us knows we are over a barrel. We are negotiating from a point of desperation, practically begging countries thousands of miles away to deal with us.
What would have given us a better position for negotiation? Perhaps being part of the largest trading bloc in on the planet...
Shame we decided to leave it for...erm...reasons.
Skier, do you understand that year on year percentage growth means absolutely f*ck all? Let me explain, in the simplest terms, why you are thick.
If Person A invests £100 and has a 100% increase year on year, they would have have £200. If Person B invests £1000 also gained 100%, they would have £2000. Are you aware despite the year on year % gain, Person B has made 10x as much as Person A?
We are the only G7 nation that hasn't hit pre-pandemic levels. That is a fact.
Your other points are so bewildering stupid it's barely worth responding. Record high employment is because we are short of staff in nearly every industry. Extremely high employment is not a sign of a healthy economy you thicko.
No idea what the last general election has anything to do with the state of the economy, but considering the Tory party has record low approval ratings, I think the will of the people is decidedly NOT with the Tories.
"Brexit is performing better than expected", care to give any facts to back up this statement? Or you just gonna cherry pick more meaningless data that is easily disregarded.
"UK is performing better than expected -- even in the face of a worldwide inflation, covid and war onslaught."
The UK is the ONLY member of the G7 nations whose economy is smaller now than it was before the pandemic. We are falling further and further behind.
You strike me as the kind of person that would ask what the weather is like after his roof has been torn off by a hurricane.
Imagine going to any supermarket and not buying things made in the UK. I think you'd have a choice of about 4 vegetables and 3 types of fruit left. Only in summer mind you.
Or better yet, imagine adding cost onto every product you buy that isn't made inside the UK. Why does it cost more you ask? Oh because shipping to the UK is now full of so much paperwork that fewer and fewer companies are capable or can even be ****d. Imagine you can be ****d, and you now have such a backlog of work that they need to hire more staff to process the same amount of product, but there are no staff, so less work gets done, you have to raise your prices to stay afloat and imagine, of course, that those costs are passed the consumer.
Now imagine every single product coming into and leaving the UK, across every type of industry, now having to overcome such hurdles, large and small, at every juncture of business. Imagine the entire supply chain is bogged up with similar problems. Imagine having to run a business unsure if you can source any material you may need at a price they makes yoru business viable.
Imagine how quickly your small businesses, already on paper thin-margins, can go bust simply by not being able to quickly and affordably ship their services and products to the largest economic trading bloc in the world. (A bloc that also just happens to be a couple hundred miles down the road btw)
Now imagine you CHOSE all these things for some vague, opaque, totally not xenophobic reason.
No need to imagine of course, all you need to be is a British person living in Brexit Britain.
Epro,
Don't you know that voting Tory does nothing? Voting for Brexit did nothing either! Markets don't matter. Nothing matters!
You never have to take responsibility for your actions if nothing matters! It's all so simple.
Get over it!
