Well it is time for him to go to be honest, he has been there since 2005, which is overstaying your welcome for any CEO. The assumption was that IAG were grooming Cruz to take over from Walsh. There may well be an enquiry but I doubt very much it will be very public. BA are very good at releasing only the information they want you to hear and this is not a situation where self immolation would be a good option for either BA or IAG. I hear that Bill Francis (ex BA Cabin Crew Boss) is now in charge of IT at IAG , so maybe this will be a chance to get rid of a lower level manager in the blame game. No doubt, any outside IT contracting company will fiercely resist any criticism being aimed at them, not least because of the ensuing litigation that might follow. I suspect it will be put down to some spurious reason, just like the titanic ............that could never happen Governor, so no need to worry about it . Let's see what ensues. Ultimately, I am still long and still expect an increasing SP.

Increasing dividends, launch of new airline 'Level' with forward bookings exceeding expectations, £500m of share buybacks and Qatar holding 20.1% ..... if you want to sell be my guest, personally I fully expect increased dividends and an increasing share price to continue for many years to come.

No replies to e-mails, questions etc . It seems clear though that costs seemed to be increasing massively. With the Group wanting to deduct 40% - 45% for "various legal advisors and pay various disbursements etc" had they accepted the earlier offer of circa 42p , there would have been virtually nothing left for claimants ? Did the earlier offer of circa 42p , which was accepted by other claimants , include costs, or did RBS offer to pay costs on top of the 42p offer ? It seems to me that the Action Group appear to have been facing increasing 'costs' , which no doubt, their lawyers would be mindful of , considering they would want to be paid. A full account to claimants of the costs making up the 40% - 45% should be provided before any payment is made.

Have to say, I don't think his response has been well handled but situation normal for BA bosses choosing to avoid meeting the public when it hits the fan. 350 is wishful thinking. No idea how you reach that figure considering the profits that IAG is making , along with 500m of share buy backs. now The SP will be affected in the short term BUT as with other problems this company has experienced in the past, the public have short memories and IAG is so big now, that you pretty much have to fly with one of their code share partners, franchises, subsidiaries etc etc so they will get some of your money one way or another. I anticipate a short term drop but long term upward trend, as it has been experiencing since 2012, when the SP was circa 141.00

The article also says "Four other separate groups of shareholders settled with RBS in December at 41.2p a share in December. It is thought that the cut taken by the organisers of those claimants was smaller than what the action group’s advisers will receive."
