In this case, does anyone here think Anders would accept such an offer? Especially one from MA? Even for multiples of the current SP, I think Anders would probably rather outbid and take it private, than lose out to him - whatever the cost :)

I agree that the main holders are not likely to accept five quid either - but I assumed the other poster meant five, as it is at least somewhat more plausible than four - barring some absolute calamity.

Given the BOD declined a tenner not long ago, I would hazard that any number materially below that today would not even be given head space.

I had a much smaller buy order at that price too, which did not get filled either.

While it is possible that the price is being kept in this range....if an offer is coming here, no way is it going to be at 4 quid!

I would suggest that IG and the other mature operations in this space are well versed in the regulatory direction of travel.

It is more likely that scrutiny will fall on RH, for the reasons given previously, all of which are in the public domain too, so not simply idle chatter.

But I agree that consolidation in this space may well happen at some point. Such things are a part of the natural cycle.

I felt, and still do feel, like this one could be an attractive target one day.

If this happens, IMO it would be at a price materially north of where we are today.

Perhaps because if Songwe falls down, or gets kicked into the (even longer) grass, then the SP is likely to plunge back to 8p rapidly, and feasibly a good deal lower?

Or it could just be a HNWI or several, who need the liquidity and are dumping as fast as they can, without absolutely destroying the SP? Who knows.

IMO, it is more likely a range of holders who fear the above scenario, and either want to have the chance to buy back much cheaper, or have simply got fed up with the endless deadline misses (by the politicians) and the opportunity cost, and want to invest in other avenues.

I agree, we are unlikely to ever find out, although unlike so many occasions on AIM, at least this selling is unlikely to be linked to a pipeline discounted raise.

Given the relatively small free float, and the number of PI's who are presumably buying in the 380's and below for a trade to 4 quid or so, I would imagine that most shorts currently reducing are having to pay that 4 quid level right now, not any cheaper.

IMO, those 4 quid plus prints are only being taken (in the overwhelming main) by said closing/reducing shorts.

But that could be confirmation bias on my part :)

About in line with my expectations. Was surprised to see the SP run up to the 60's pre-results.

I will add a few more if we return to the low 50's in the weeks ahead, which IMO is about the right price at the time of print.

Would also like to see some more inside buying shortly too.

I actually trimmed a couple of other PM positions on Friday afternoon and evening (for the US ones).

Still bullish on the metals, but when MSM like CNBC turns bullish on gold...it flashes a red light to me!

I think it is just shorts playing with the SP again. Highest volume this month (although not by much).

I really cannot get my head around the chart here. The weekly, or the monthly.

The spike this morning IMO makes them both look quite bullish now, but my TA is nowhere near good enough to give me confidence in this 'read'.

I should have more time tomorrow to watch this closely. Not putting any buy orders in pre-market though.

Furthermore, for 3 quid a trade, I think that is cheap enough to not want to change to one that typically offers inferior spreads to other brokers like IG.

And we have not even covered the selling of customer data, which to the best of my knowledge, IG has never done.

If you look back through some of the historical material, you will see Rio mentioned in relation to Dundas. It was always touted as the flagship asset.

But anyway, you have read all the same stuff that I have and have taken a different view.

Which is what makes a market of course. And if the management do actually deliver, then as I said before, I will be straight here to offer my congratulations.

Disko is an interesting one. I do indeed think it could be an exciting prospect, but in the hands of this management team, based on history, I remain unconvinced that PI's will get any rewards.

If you look at some similar names in this space...compare the level of inside buying for example. And for me, the Dundas debacle was and is, unforgivable.

Yeah, at the risk of jinxing it, this morning's activity did appear a little different.

Nevertheless, I took profits again around 402. Sell order. If I had time earlier this morning I might have held on for a bit longer, and watched the action.

Still, always nice to book a profit early doors on a Monday. Original trading tranche still in place though. GLA.

I disagree. IMO serious traders want serious broker platforms. And that is where the real money is, not kids with small stacks. There is plenty in the public domain about that one, too. People can make their own minds up.

IMO only if it coincides with a positive period in the wider markets.

A smooth launch will have been priced in already, so the market will not 'reward' them for delivering on this.

Obviously any delays, or any difficulties, however minor, will likely be punished.

But I am confident that this will not be an issue here. The management have my full faith. Fingers crossed now I have said that of course! Good weekend all.
