My comment was in reply to WT's rhetorical question about whether the UK economy will recover this time. He is right that wages for most sections of society have flat lined or even reduced since 2008.

I was not being 'political' on a whim. But I have offered one option for a way that the UK can claw its way back from the abyss.

Unless you do not think the current level of public and private debt, diminishing levels of productivity, energy insecurity and poor demographics are a problem?

If you do: what are your opinions as to the pathway back to prosperity for the UK?

In principle, we could...if we cut public spending significantly. Far too many non jobs in the public sector.

We would also need to take radical steps to deal with illegal immigration and all of the economic (not to mention social) costs that have come with the current 'policy' that goes back decades. The current ponzi scheme is not working. Unsurprisingly.

It would require taking steps that many deem unpalitable right now, but sooner or later it is going to happen. The level of disorder is only going to increase, the longer this reality is ignored IMO.

The reason the Truss/Kwarteng budget went so spectacularly wrong was because the tax cuts were unfunded. It really was a childish plan and the markets reacted accordingly.

Had they 'funded' these tax cuts with matched public spending cuts, then the markets would have probably boomed. The markets tend to leave stuff like 'morality' to the charities and NGO's.

We also need to start using GDI instead of GDP as a yardstick. That would largely remove the incentive to carry on feeding the many ponzi schemes that we have, thanks to generations of politicians.

Ultimately, we need to broadly accept that to prevent our society collapsing, in the fashion of many civilisations of the past, there is going to be quite a lot of collatoral damage.

Brexit was only going to have a chance to work if we did indeed go down the 'Singapore on Thames' route. Too late now.

Obviously none of the above is going to happen any time soon :)

I do not watch it personally, but I have no issues with those who do - and I doubt that their coverage is any more biased than all the other media outlets.

I can see this printing a new year low. If it does, I will likely add a few to the trading pot around mid-50's. Gap to be filled on the route back to 65p. Sooner or later anyway. GLA.

Thanks. My original sell order was a little over 400p, but I was watching the action closely in early trading, cancelled it and got out.

At the time of print, it was the correct call, but equally I would not be sweating it if I had not managed to catch the 390's. It could easily rally in the afternoon, as it so often seems to.

I saw something on the internet yesterday about customers who were filming in some of the well-known US shops, showing black Friday prices as being identical to the ones before.

Silly managers not making sure the old tickets were at least binned if they were going to do that, rather than left behind the 'new' prices.

They should be hammered by the trading standards agency, or whatever it is called across the Pond, for that practice.

Anyway, I took my recent trading tranche off the table for a few buttons. Did not think it was going to hit my TP today. Feels like lower highs and lower lows are the pattern for now.

So, put a new buy order in for mid 370's, in case I am right. Still got the original tranche, in case we see something special in the meantime. GLA.

As to why I decided against remaining an investor here a little while back, I explained my reasons in earlier posts.

I rarely get out at the top, but as Gavster said, a profit is a profit.

If gold does not retrace and indeed goes higher this week, and whatever the FED says later this week does not spook the markets, regardless of ex div, I can see this testing 18p fairly soon.

So I can fully understand those who continue to hold here. It was not a sell based on any serious concerns. But I prefered banking the profit to potentially watching a return to my original purchase price region.

Which may well happen, depending on the above scenarios. Or of course, equally may not. As the saying goes, you pays your money and takes your choice :)

If SA politics stabalises again after the next election, I may well return properly to invest, rather than just trade, this one.

As I have said many times, I am a massive fan of this name, and the management team too.

In the meantime, it remains very much on my radar should that opportunity present itself.

If not, in your shoes, I would simply take the dividend and sit tight for a bit longer. If gold does what I think it will in the weeks ahead, barring any company-specific issues, then even ex div should see this one back into the 17's before Xmas, at least, IMO.

I thought the chart was looking good this morning, but the volume underpins this rise IMO. Different to previous chart suggestions here of late, where lower volume has occured.

Agree with the other posters who mention that 16p level though, before we start to get too excited.

But it is always nice to see us get above that 50 DMA. If we can hold it for a few days, then the 200 is in sight again and soon. Well, that theory applies generally. In this one, we could easily smash through the 200 even today. It would be nice to hold it this time. GLA.

I have taken profits because I think gold is going to pull back, along with the wider markets.

Will buy back if this does happen and the SP returns to the 15's, because I am still very bullish on PM prices going forward, but if I do not get the chance, GLA.

Give it a few days. It might have some impact then.

Alternatively, the market might only be interested in seeing deals now. Which will provide solid proof that the potential is real and the company is worthy of investment/further investment. GLA while we wait!

'Shovel-ready' Dundas was talked about repeatedly, which led to my starting, and then building, a position here back in early 2018 I think it was. All the way through until quite recently of course.

When I invest (different to trading), I give management a lot of time, trust and support.

Too much in some cases, like this one.

I am certainly not one of the more informed posters here, but in answer to your question: yes, potentially it could be of benefit to us and a number of similar outfits in this space.

Whether it actually gets off the ground is another matter. We can but hope :)

As to the matter of that big print today: it was clearly a seller. No way would a buy of that size, in a market cap that we currently have, with the small number of shares in issue, only see a 10% rise.

But hopefully that was the seller on fumes that I suggested was a possibility the other day.

We might enjoy a significant rise from here now, but I take nothing for granted.

Ultimately, I am only interested in hearing about a deal/deals that validate the investment case here - although do not get me wrong, I would gladly take an AIM special rapid multi-bag rise while we wait :) GLA.

Actions speak louder than words of course, but this is AIM, where anything can happen, even on thin air, sometimes.

From this price, 1p would be a rise in the region of 28%.

If the markets enjoy a Santa Rally, it is possible I guess, even without news, although IMO to hit that level would need positive news in this particular case.

As to the number of interviews that RE has done in the past three months: you can interpret that one of two ways, I think.

A bear would view it as priming the market for another raise shortly, or to soften the blow with (yet another) missed/delayed deadline on X, Y, Z project.

A bull would perhaps view it as giving a nod to existing holders of good times to come perhaps.

Whatever happens, try not to judge all junior minors/early stage small caps the same.

Some really are gems, although most are not.

And whatever you do, never invest more than you can afford to potentially write off in full. However good it seems, however thorough your research etc.

I do remember at least one poster here saying that they would give it until the end of this year to deliver on the various promises. Cannot remember if it was you or someone else.

It just seems like the goal posts keep on getting moved here. I gave the benefit of the doubt myself for several years, but the pattern - at the time of print - is simply no different to when I finally stopped giving that benefit of the doubt.

The inside buying that took place earlier this year was IMO barely a token gesture. And how Bo is still in seat after all these years and SP decimation, is also beyond my understanding.

Brand new material in the form of talk of an additional listing, in a credit environment like this one, which is challenging for even professionally managed mining explorers right now (including those that have seen substantial inside buying no less) would make me uneasy if I were still a holder too.

But I am in danger now of sounding like I am trying to spread FUD. That is not my intention. And as HfH says, time will tell on this. Maybe bulls will make a packet here. I hope so, for the PI's anyway.

I still think there are assets of quality here. I am just not sure now that current shareholders are going to see any of the rewards for all the faith, time (opportunity cost) risk and cold hard cash they have put forward.
