In the conference call he mentions news before xmas at the earliest as the legal process is slow, so to me it is still progressing.
Depending on the outcome is whether they will apply for litigation in the EU court.
I said a few weeks ago that this is being held back because of brexit, we are being used as a political pawn by the slovenian government , just my thoughts.
Probably buying on the hope of a response from the appeal to the courts, it must be due soon as the date for the appeal to be submitted was july 15th (i think)
If it goes in our favour we should see some movement and will decide which way the bod takes us, if it goes against us then it may force the hand of the bod to go to the EU courts for substantial damages.
Anyone any ideas on the timescale for the courts 3 months, 6 months?
They are playing the hell out of this share today, loads of buys and we go down.
Looking at the ammount of buys today the mm's have held this back. Hopefully some news next week re appeal.
The one bit of good news that should turn us around is the court hearing going in our favour to allow us to get on with extracting the gas from the existing wells. How long do we have to wait? 70 days has passed, 90 days must be nearly up?
With all of these small buys over the last few days we must be near the court appeal date or are they going to wait till after brexit?
What is the timescale for our appeal to courts?
I wonder what the stance is from our embassy representative, its about time they got involved to try to resolve this
We need some decent media coverage to raise our profile, instead of sniping at each other on here if we all focussed our attention at writing to all financial newspapers to see if they would be willing to write an article on the goings on at AST for the last few years and ask them to contact representatives from the various parties involved for a quote, it might have the desired effect in making some progress especially if it is from a reputable newspaper such as a heavyweight like the financial times.
Their help contact is help@ft.com if they get a few requests it might get them to look into it.
What have we got to loose?
If anyone else has any viable ideas or contacts where we might get some coverage then post them.
Personally i think the delays in the permits by the intervention of the minister may be to coincide with the brexit negotiations. I know we are only a small entity but every little helps if the slovenian government has to negotiate with the british. Strange how the british embasy, chamber of commerce and the bod were all fired up in october and now all quiet keeping heads down as if they were all told to wait till after march?
I have e mailed ascent and asked if the company has made any contact withe the british government minister responsible for trade with slovenia or any of our MEPs.
With all of the financial issues going on in the EU the ratings agencies will be looking at downgrading the ratings of these countries including the UK, if Slovenia is seen as a high risk for inernational investment they may also be downgraded. Why risk the countries finances for the sake of a £200 million Company. I hope the Minister is flying round with the ghost of christmas past this week and after he has been around with the other two we might get a change of heart and get the permits issued.
I hope our bod are engaging with our MEP's to fight our corner, if Farage is given some amunition about this he will let rip at them.
