Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Thank you, Dactions :-)
Well aye, I didn't want to sound like a nutcase - even though I was livid after seeing the amount of deaths today - but it's hard to come across as a calm, rational human being when there's such an injustice currently going on.
Oh, I'm on one now! After seeing the figures for today, I took a while to simmer down and then decided to contact Downing Street on their website in the calmest way possible. Whilst I'm not expecting a response, this is what I've sent;
Dear Mr. Johnson,
This pandemic is now gearing up to be even worse than the initial wave this time last year, and yet our government are still seemingly sitting on their hands waiting for the silver bullet vaccines to work - but vaccines alone aren't the answer to beating this. I've watched your briefings everyday since this began, I've watched every PM's questions and even though you also caught Coronavirus yourself, I would've thought you of all people would be paying more attention to preventative treatments that can help a patient from being admitted to intensive care.
I want to direct your attention to a company called Synairgen, who are going to be starting phase 3 trials imminently. Their treatment has a proven 79% efficacy in trials, and it's been mentioned a few times in parliament. Why is nothing more being done to support them? Their accompanying treatment could help save countless lives, and take some pressure off the NHS at the same time. Do the right thing.
Thank you.
As it's not been rocked hardly at all by the vaccine news, I'd say only bad results or a delay in reporting them will be the only roadblocks in synairgen's way now?
Maybe worth a small mention? American Market closed at the equivalent of £1.47 today.
@Parsley2 - Is it so wrong to expect more action than is currently being done? I don't see how that makes me part of the problem to be honest. I voted Conservative last time, with the view that that was what was needed for the country at the time, and I can't help but feel let down with the way this pandemic has been handled.
@woodstock1970 - It certainly is the most daunting job to have at this particular moment in time, I wouldn't want it for a gold clock. But when you've got Hanc ock laughing/crying over people dying/getting vaccine treatments, a very worrisome attitude of "wait and see" at the very beginning of the pandemic and throughout, the airport issue you mentioned - there have been that many issues now that it's hard to not expect better, and to want those in power to be held accountable for their actions.
What the government are doing should surely be considered criminal by now? Flapping about, dithering over tiers and terrible information systems (track and trace, statistics etc.)
You've had more then enough time to get a handle on things, get and actually do something, anything, to prevent further catastrophe!
Seconded. For someone with zero knowledge of charts and patterns, this gives me increased ease on the situation ^_^
Wish I had more funds available in an ISA to top this up with, but I'm all in as far as that's concerned. Fear not, anyone feeling jittery with this this morning, your patience and faith will be rewarded with this - what's happening here is just an overreaction to vaccine news :)
That's just like the weather forecast. If you say it'll do one thing of all potential possibilities, then you're bound to be right.
Mmm... The sweet smell of justice... Just imagine the scenario - this news dropping today, weekend anticipation, and then another RNS slapped on the doorstep Monday morning saying it's begun.
Whilst I admire the confidence, this is a stock I'd avoid at the time being. Infection rates going through the roof, bad side effects from vaccines and a large percentage of people saying they won't have it.
Definitely a future investment, but good luck anyone who's got the balls to invest in Tui at this time.
Whilst it would be amazing if that happened, such a sharp rise in so little time is doubtful - but I know sweet fa about most things lol. The coronavirus chart from today is causing me a lot of distress, as I think this will spiral out of control into the winter and beyond. SNG001 needs more exposure, and the people in power need to pay attention and to stop burying their heads into Phizer/Moderna/AZ's a$$.
Further response;
"I will have a look into Synairgen and see what I can do. Even if they do not have a direct connection with Chester, I could always make contact with the relevant MPs and highlight the importance of the company to them."
Will keep you posted of any further emails, if anyone would like that?
@aspers or anyone knowledgeable
Would you mind clearing something up for me, please? As I've not been an investor of a company that's been through a RI, as far as I'm aware.
Will the RI actually dilute the share price by that much, or is it just speculation? Tui is definitely a company I'd like to invest in again in the future, as I think they will scrape through this pandemic, and the demand for holidays will be out of this world.
Thank you :)
@beforegolf
It's Chris Matheson for the City of Chester. He must've thought it was worth a gander, as he commented on their headquarters location - so must've looked into them, as I didn't say the company was from Southampton. Didn't seem put off by that fact, so here's hoping.
Hi folks, just thought I'd give you a little update, as I've heard from my local MP after contacting them about Synairgen, and informing them of the company if they didn't already know of them. They've said that they'll certainly look into the company, and what can be done to assist them in general and with some publicity and to put it on a few more people's radar's.
Have a good morning :)
That's true hold4results, I should've been more understanding about other people's positions here, whether that's the amount of money they have invested, or the length of time they've been an investor in SNG.
People just need to be patient, as good things come to those who wait. If all the prep work up until any kind of announcement is airtight, then there'll be no room for criticism when the news finally drops. Chill.
You'd better stop messing around with day trading and making pennies and get a short in place then, eh Rob?
Imo? Tui will survive - just about. And if the price goes to around £3, I'll probably jump back in. But it's going to be a very ugly 4 months.
Hi folks,
Lots of activity on here today, and lots of links to useful information and research - so I'd like to thank all those involved for posting those.
I've sent an email to my local MP, telling them about Synairgen and all related paraphernalia, so will let you know if there's any word from there.
Have a good night.
Thank you very much Matml74 and Oxford12, with not being a typical user of social media I hadn't thought that SNG discussion would've stretched onto there. I'll have a little gander to see what's what over there :)
