A recession in the US would be deflationary for DEC increasing cashflow with hedges already in place and rates would become lower and allow DEC to refinance at lower rates. Just like during COVID DEC was able to increase dividends.

Agreed Ace, not a great look apart from his holding has still increased by over 1,000,000 shares over that period, so not fully dumping everything.

They don't take into account of our cash flow vs hedge loses and say DEC is "on the verge of breakeven". I do wonder if the entire market sometimes doesn't understand this too with DEC's accounting for hedges.

Buybacks will come into play at these levels. Last investor presentation when Rusty and Co spoke they joked about if the share prices drops so low they'll end up buying back the entire company. Yesterday bank holiday in UK and memorial day in the US so both non work days. Will be interesting to see what happens during this week. I'd expect something to be announced.

It still does mention "Current 10% share buyback program announced 27 September 2022" on slide 20. But I guess if they aren't doing any buybacks now then when would you!

The share price is mostly just following the US Natural gas price but meanwhile DEC has a hedge a lot higher and loads of open job positions. Interesting following DEC on LinkedIn, lots of activity!
