Worya, they can't with the current buyback. They are restricted with trading volume!

They will have to do a fixed price tender offer to shareholders I believe is the only way.

I think we're very much following US bonds now too. Really would be great if the Fed became much more bearish on rates rises.

Right now they are restricted with trading volume with it being an open market buyback. They could also do a buyback offering for a fixed price. Rusty spoken about it previously.

Sterlin down on the dollar too. I expect them to announce a the different type of buyback programme where they aren't restricted.

Greg, we are already ex dividend I dont see why the RNS would have to state it.

The dividend cash would of been with the broker already by now would be my guess!

Less likely to see a placing for new shares too is my thinking.

Reminds me of the Annual Report 2022 call, Rusty laughed that in future they'll end up buying back the entire company.

Not much has changed apart from the share price, DEC has fixed rate and fixed term debt with hedged production. Hopefully can use dividends to buy more at these levels Friday!

Redlse - Rusty on the Mountaineer Media podcast back in May spoke about a duel listing being an ADR. They have always said they will keep the UK listing.

Yeah its great, just crazy we're at near 17% divi if held in a SIPP. Wish they would do more buybacks at such levels.

I emailed Doug a few days ago and seems US listing will just be a matter of time, a few highlights:

"With regard to the US Listing, we continue to view this a highly important as part of our strategic plan"

"Most US E&P’s are up 30-50% YTD, vs our (and UK markets underperformance)"

Still, nobody can guarantee DEC's current dividend apart from DEC when its announced.

Still the 2023 September Corporate Presentation page 20 which states that for 2024 only 60% Hedged at $37.74/bbl. My source is DEC itself.

I'm going off DEC's own figures Trek, you're going off someone elses. I'd believe DEC's own figures.

I'm a long term holder and will continue to buy, but some of the things people are saying on here are just not true.

We are only 60% hedged next year currently. If nat gas stays around what it is now or lower then divi could be cut.

Positive is that this year we have $270m due in debt repayments and next year it reduces to $200m.
