I am also very tight and willing to pay nothing to subscribe to any web site or share trading courses etc the people running courses are mainly con artists , why bother when you can get most information for free. I think FDP management may be suffering from ostrich syndrome by proxy, can't say I blame them, its a difficult one to fathom how to explain to the faithfull how its lost £325 million market cap in less than a week and to add to the woes we now have Dow Jones down by 800 points and more importantly NASDAQ minus 4%, FTSE Fut minus 83.5. The timing of all these drops could not be worse for FDP, I am holding out for another drop Thursday before deciding wether or not to close out.

Offer value now approx £48.81, 12% upside, I see risk now as EU decision time soon which I dont see going against Takeda SHP being an Irish company but risk may push price further down until decision day. My main concern now is the US v £ stg risk, seems the dollar prospects negative over next six months so even a no deal brexit not likely to crash the pound. For a 12 % prospective return I am holding but not buying more at this price.

Some of it has already come out , I think there is more to come, depends who you choose to believe.

My motivation is possibly the same as yours, to make money only you are betting on it rising and I am betting on it falling. My timing is nothing to wonder about after Earls report, I think FDP is worth a punt.

It was not SP, they published a 47 page report by Matt Earl which I find credible, in view of around £250 million being wiped off market cap within a few days I would at least expect a detailed rebuttal from FDP if they consider Earl to be wrong.

Drop caused by Ryanair -8.8% so far dragging down sector due to poor guidance rns, IAG and EZJ both dragged down because of it.

Airlines dropped this morning, looks like RYA biggest drop, tried to buy IAG at 633.5 but as usual MMs not dealing at this level, managed to get some at £6.35

These are my guesses ; sector down EZJ RYA etc, pound up today, oil price hike yesterday, labour party conference brexit doom mongers etc, I will buy at 660 and add more if it drops further.

I sold some at £17.24 yesterday thinking it would not rise but now being offered the full £17.28, no point me hanging on for another few weeks to save the £6 commission cost, or is there any chance someone else might come along and trump Comcast, its does say in the offer document that door is still open ? I will set a limit order of around £17.20 to sell and hopefully bank a clear 8% profit for the weekend having bought at around £15.86 on Friday, if it does not trigger I can wait until the cash is paid as long as that is not too long after the October vote. Many of the reported trades showing as sells this afternoon are actually buys, eg 3.02pm reported sell at £15.868889 £22.87k is a buy not a sell.

exon , an interesting late reported trade just showing upnow two days late was a buy of £25.5 million at £17.63755 which appears not to be a UT, strange, I wonder what thats about and not far from your guess of £17.50.

Offer value approx £49.61 today , approx 15% upside (if it gets all clearances, Takeda price holds, and $ and yen stay put against £) whats the odds on it all happening ? H-hi, I dont dream about interest rates, they mattered to me when I was starting out about fifty years ago but these days all that matters is guessing which direction to place my bets, up down or sideways I hope to make a good turn and usually do, I could not care less what interest rates are other than I always try to ensure the banks do not profit from my capital. If you have never lived through interest rates rocketing its hard to see that it can easily happen again and probably will. The BOE is reactive, always has been, polite society and the BOE is not in control of interest rates although they would like us to believe it, they get dragged along by the markets and hopefully you will live long enough to savour 10% rates within the next ten to fifteen years. Anyway getting back on track I think VOD is going up.

I dont know how old you are but I well remember getting over 15% in building society accounts followed by a massive bull run in the stock market, the near zero state has only been around for about a decade, probably in your lt lifetime you will see rates again over 10% at some point. There are hundreds of zombie companies around today which most of us would be better of if they were put out of their misery by hiking up interest rates. Well run companies do not depend on low interest rates. Iceland has a population about the size of Bradford and is virtually irrelevant in the world, unless you are one of the idiot local councils that fell for their scamming banks offers.
