RE: Dividend News Next?8 Aug 2025 16:17
Agree that giving up NWC was a positive, this is how the market reacted and the market is alway right.
Remember also that at the time, because of Trump' tariff on copper, there was a premium on USA based wanna be miners.
Pure luck from CAML but never than less immagine being holding this now that the finally, the orange man and his media
circus, revealed that tariff where only on some copper finished goods.
Another positive, if that is to be , is the destiny of the USD.
We can surely say that rate rise are out of the question, but any cut could/would push up many metals and imo
copper is one of the prime candidates for it.
Awaiting for a push higher of 158 for a run to results which might be more encouraging than the last, who knows
maybe more positives on production and of course more cash in the bank.
Remember that this year CAML had lower capex and slightly better copper price to offset and lower led/zinc production
which account roughly for a quarter of cashflow.
What opportunity for the BoD, to get out of NWC and with revised lower copper price exploration miners,
go hunting for a new project, which could also be more profitable, considering that USA was not exactly a cheap place.
IMO CAML is at least 20p undervalued right now, without any further potential positive news development.
