With the recent disdain towards electric batteries and the general reliance on fossil fuels to produce electricity, Tesla is about to conform to the fact that EVs might not be the best solution for ecology, especially not compared to hydrogen!

Worth a listen to Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Department for Energy Security and Net Zero - “And let's spell out what this future means: jobs building carbon capture and storage, jobs manufacturing electrolysers for hydrogen”.

UK supply chain is key to building a successful, resiliant hydrogen sector. I’m glad that the Govenment will focus in on this moving forward.

* Fuel 
:

* Industrial processes :


Hydrogen is used in many industrial processes, including petroleum refining, treating metals, producing fertilizer and other chemicals, and processing foods. 


* Energy storage 
:

Hydrogen can be used to store, move, and deliver energy produced from other sources. 


* Metallic ore reduction 
:

Hydrogen is used to extract tungsten from its ore, and it can also be used to produce copper from copper oxide. 


* Ammonia production 
:

Hydrogen is used in the Haber Bosch process to combine nitrogen from the air with hydrogen to form ammonia, which is used in fertilizers and cleaning materials. 


* Rocket fuel 
:

Hydrogen is used as a fuel for space rockets. 



Two of the largest uses of hydrogen worldwide are ammonia production (55%), and petroleum refinement (25%).

@BBB, I disagree with your lack of enthusiasm for Hydrogen Cars …..

The Toyota Mirai holds about 5Kg of hydrogen and covers 360 Miles, the cost per kg ranges from £10 - £15 per Kg at today’s prices which of course will reduce over time as the supply chain picks up. This makes FCEV’s viable now, I don’t know how much you pay to fill up your car but I pay a lot more than £75 , BMW now working with Toyota with FCEV technology.

I thought they still owned these three 🤷🏼‍♀️
