California is often referred to as the “Sunshine State “ because it has a lot of sunshine 🤭 maybe they will harness that free energy to produce their Green Hydrogen 🤷🏼‍♀️ this would make sense as they are banning fossil fuels and vehicles using them!

Jzchat, you obviously have zero business acumen ….. as production volume picks up the price per kg comes down, at the moment the volume is low hence the price is high. When all the dots are crossed and put together in a coherent way and by example, instead of paying wind turbines to stop producing electricity you divert that power to PEM Electrolysers to produce Green Hydrogen which will soon be implemented, then the price of Green Hydrogen will reduce drastically.

Unfortunately incoherent policy by Governments Globally has caused instability in investment in both EV and FCEV, both of which have a market and if they worked together they would both benefit enormously, again each are pushing their own agenda and causing confusion and policy makers are human and seldom have the intelligence to join the dots.

Green Hydrogen will play a massive role in helping reach net zero and the transformation in zero emissions mobility!

In July 2024 Shell took a Final Investment Decision (FID) to progress REFHYNE II, a 100-megawatt renewable proton-exchange membrane (PEM) hydrogen electrolyser at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rheinland in Germany.

💧🌿Using renewable electricity, REFHYNE II is expected to produce up to 44,000 kilograms per day of renewable Hydrogen to partially decarbonise site operations. The electrolyser to be supplied by ITM Power is scheduled to begin operating in 2027. 🤸‍♀️🤸

Dutch Gov’t injects €28million to scale hydrogen refuelling network 🇳🇱🚛⚡️

The Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management (I&W) has allocated a €28 million Hydrogen in Mobility Grant (SWiM in Dutch) to drive the adoption of hydrogen-powered vehicles.

This landmark funding includes €8.2 million awarded to two consortia led by Fountain Fuel, a Netherlands-based zero-emission energy station developer.

The funding aims to accelerate the rollout of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure and scale up the introduction of hydrogen-powered vans, trucks, and speciality transport vehicles across the country.

£2 Billion to be invested in Hydrogen Storage 🥳

A Centrica spokesman said: 'The existing Rough platform is now almost 40 years old and as part of our regulatory requirements we need to start the decommissioning process.'

They added: 'Our plans for Rough remain unchanged. Subject to securing a cap and floor model for the redeveloped asset we still plan to invest up to £2billion in converting Rough to the world's largest hydrogen storage facility.

'This investment, if unlocked with the new regulatory model, would see a new platform built to deliver on our ambitions.'
