Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Good summary Pyro. My first instinct was along the lines of your 2nd possibility. Hope suddenly realised that aa far as was concerned there could be an empty pot and absolutely no chance of recovering the $30m. Wouldn't go down well with the OMF investors!
Anyway, at last some progress. GLA
I was thinking more from the big boy's side. Here is a little company that has everything I need so let's make an offer they can't refuse.
As I said, I bought a few and will hold and see how things develop.
Hi, I picked up on SYM following the FDA RNS and have bought a few. Having done a bit more research since then one thing intrigues me. Why is there no talk of a buy out? Surely a small AIM company (<£50m) with this fantastic FDA approved technology should be a prime target for one of the big packaging companies. Maybe someone who has been around a bit longer than me knows the reason.
The question is not what us shareholders are going to get, but who is going to get it. They are certainly not fighting over an empty can.
Please guys, this is serious business and all you can do is take the mickey out of the Pope . It really is time for some deep introspection to ask yourselves why such a legend has so few friends. GLA
I used to work in the DRC (the most corrupt country on the planet), if you wanted to know which company used brown envelopes we used to look at the legal and/or accountants fees in the AFS to see if they were out of the ordinary. (They acted as "consultants") unfortunately FRR hasn't published any AFS for a year so who knows if there was a brown envelope or two. So we wait to see who is is actually pulling the strings. My money for what it is now worth, is on the pro western group.
Don't ask Zaza what next year will bring, he doesn't have 2020 vision! :)
Merry Christmas one and all.
To summarise the chapter on Patients: We all need to express a little patience or else we will end up being patients at the funny farm.
There is only one question- To be(lieve) or not to be(lieve)?
Are you sure the staff have gone, or have they just moved with the assets?
If Palantir are involved (a very big if), it might explain why the NDA is being so strictly enforced.
To hold out any hope for FRR one must believe that there is a master plan and that SN and Zaza are confident of defeating Outrider and Hope. In which case why fight what would be a spurious default action (battle) when the correct outcome can only be decided when the war has been won.
To pass the time I recommend a book called Red Notice by Bill Browder. It is an eye-opener on how to do business in the former Soviet Union. Makes you wonder what hoops SN and Zaza have had to jump through over the last few years.
Some very deep pockets lurking in the background?????
Well said ODR
Don't limit it to the youngsters, some of us oldies aren't too happy with the situation either:(
Nice idea 98kingm but I am pretty sure that the disposal of assets that are the subject of an injunction would be viewed very poorly by the judge who granted it.
I've done a bit more research and it seems that the best place to bring a class action would be in California, where Hope and Outrider are domiciled. Maybe that is why FRR has opened this second action. On interesting suggestion that I got was that we should join the FRR action. Maybe FSG could volunteer its database to FRR's lawyers and let them see if it will help the case. Just an idea.
It will only work if FRR win, or Hope initiates an iocs. There is a Dutch firm that specializes in dealing with international cases. They work on a percentage of damages, so no upfront fee. I will do some more research.
Maybe we should organise a class action against Hope for having deliberately eroded our shareholder value. That would increase the pressure.
