My point is nothing has been said officially so an official update would give Zaza the chance to EXXONerate himself.

That only referred to the depth, not the commencement date. If we don't start drilling we cannot increase our production capacity., which basically means we are going nowhere. The other thing is getting rigs on site is difficult so a delay may mean going to the back of the queue.

If that is the case then we need an RNS. Potential investors who rely on the official news channel (not the Christmas presents one) will be expecting an update based on the timetable stated in previous RNSs. It would also provide Zaza with an opportunity to sneak out an update on the state of play. Something along the lines of: "Due to the imminent closure of a deal with our second supa dupa major ......."

We should be getting an RNS any day confirming the start of drilling at Niko1. It was scheduled to start in this month and there has been no official communication of a change of plan.

The BH GE split is of little relevance to FRR. BH has a 5billion turnover and is quite capable of standing on its own. It is possible that the one month clause in the MOU was at FRR's insistence, rather than the other way round, just in case the buyer of the GE shares conflicted with our 2nd major.

It would be nice to get an update on this issue. At the moment we are one non-exec short and another who has been accused of non-fiducial offenses. Who is protecting the shareholders interests on the BoD? I know that Zaza and SN are aligned with shareholders because of their massive holdings. But equally they are in a position to abuse that trust. A good director appointment should also be a boost to the share price.

I think there is a second deal still to be done but I wouldn't be surprised if it is still a few months away. For me the clues are in the BHGE RNS. MOU lasts for 11 months during which time definitive agreements will be entered into. It is highly probable that the 2nd major will be party to those agreements. Jmo
