Very much as expected (from my point of view). To be fair to the company they have always been pretty up front with the time frame ( these cases normally take 2-3 years) and didn't make false claims on the amount...infact it looks slightly above the expected recoverable amounts for claims in CL17s accounts. I had always thought about €5m, so €5.5m (70% of the award) is on the upside (just), but of course that remains a while off still (also as expected)

I topped up 250k @ 1.88 this afternoon( now about 450k@ approx 1.75.
My views haven’t changed but I’ll respectfully keep quiet and let’s see what happens . It’s a gamble as always but the sun is shining and I thought...why not ;)

Iceman: the judge is waiting for the two sides’ independent experts to present their reports as to what the case is worth . The judge hasn’t seen it yet to pass judgement , however it has already been ruled that there is a legitimate ‘criminal’ case to answer , which was stage 1. Stage 2 is determine the value, which should be tomorrow. Stage 3 is getting the settlement paid , or as I suggested yesterday, selling the case on so others can do that .

I didn’t say it would be 0.5p. Just that it’s more realistic . 65% down or 300%+ up. It was sub 0.5p for a long time when the position was exactly the same regarding the court case .

If there is another delay in Venice or the independent experts present a low ball figure then 0.5p is more realistic:

"At the hearing, the previously appointed independent expert will inform the Judge of the Court about the final assessment of the economic merit of the claim against Sipiem’s previous management and internal audit committee."

Bluepanther: Its probably wiser for them to say nothing now until there is actually something concrete to say. If we read the RNSs objectively they only really said they were talking to someone about kickstarting and taking over the dormant Miner One operation, and then possibly they might look to get a team together to look into the possibilities in quantum computing. What people then took all that to mean was just BB hype on the back of the recent crypto bubble

The court case that CLP/QBT bought from Sipiem has been running for a long time and it was probably unfortunate that is got tangled up in the recent 180degree change of direction for the company, wherever that is going. Lets not forget that a 180degree turn if you're going forwards means you're going backwards!
It is interesting that in one of the RNSs CLP/QBT hinted that one avenue was for them to sell on the case again to companies that specialise in these type of claims. So don't be completely surprised that when the independent experts on each side present their findings on Wednesday (if there is no delay) that the case is sold on to another company who can then spend years actually getting the money out of the insurance companies.

Might be the reverse this time.

If it goes ahead next week this is the companies expectation :
“The March 2021 hearing is expected to be extremely informative as the amount of claimed damages will be formally submitted by the independent expert in his report to the judge”.
That was the original date before the delay to 26th May.

It may be that a few already know of a delay or a hint at the independently derived settlement figure . In fact you could bet your last dollar that a few do! Last time the court case was hyped to high heaven in the days before, even though it was highly likely that a few knew it had already been rescheduled, including the company .

There is no buzz this time , but that might not mean anything ... other than once bitten twice shy .

I notice from QBTs updated AIM26 section ( they are much more on the ball with this) that the proportion with Hargreaves Lasndowne (mostly small pi's although we would never know if there aren't some bigger holders in there) and the other popular trading platforms for smaller investors hold over 50% of the available shares of the company. That excludes Vidacos, Lawshares and Lynchwood, which are likely to accommodate larger investors , but they together hold another 20%.

Would you agree that under the circumstances a delay would be price sensitive and if already know about should be RNSd? You could argue both ways and it’s also true that these cases can be delayed at short notice especially in these times.

What I post is my respectfully given opinion and I do not deride others for theirs by abusing them , even if I argue against them .

GAZALA: I just gave an honest and measured reply to a question from mrcalm. The trouble is certain posters have always tried to build a narrative around my posts and so rather than reading them they are just dismissed in exactly the way you just did. I have been accused this morning of criminally stalking RKB on twitter when in fact it was another poster who posted RKBs comments from twitter which I then noticed referenced me and so I viewed them directly to double check. I never communicated with him on twitter as he blocked me for presumably saying something on here he didn't agree with. However like most social media platforms his tweets and replies are freely viewable and to suggest anyone viewing them is acting criminally is laughable. If you read through my posts I have never even referenced or quoted his communications elsewhere. If he wanted a dialogue on twitter, privately, he shouldn't have blocked me.

He invested in 100m shares @1p and sold all (or most) for an assumed average of 2p, so effectively doubled his money. Since he left the scene (whether for good or until he exercises his warrants @2p) the price has drifted substantially lower, although more on lack of concrete news than anything. I think JS contributed to the fall from 3/4p to 2p but not since.

Not a single thing RKB has said has ever come to pass regarding this share. But to be fair he has never explicitly said anything that can be proved wrong rather just cryptically nudged and winked investors towards a conclusion, usually through his various parrots and mouthpieces .
He expects a €10 m + settlement.
I. predict a delay until July/August and an eventual settlement of €4/5m

You can read back through my posts and form your own judgement but I have always been honest in my thoughts regardless if I hold . The price rises and falls and never on what I say.
I flagged up 1.6p a while ago as where I might decide to get back in but to be honest it’s still too risky to put in any more in my opinion.
