Yes, completely agree Crooty, a business rate holiday extension and a VAT reduction extension is what the high-street needs.

With help, the high-street should be able to come out of these problems quite quickly, what with the fast vaccine roll-out and pent-up demand.

The government seems a bit tyrannical I agree but I am sure we will get out the other side of this. Yearly boosters is no problem - like the flu jabs we can get. It is probably the amount of people with similar views to you that are keeping shares like this so cheap.

Just had a quick look at Pizza Express. I think they used to have 627 restaurants in 2019, but had only £40m profit with £1.1bn debt!!

Fulham Shore have a better product and better pricing and only about 1% of the debt but 10% of the restaurants!

If they keep their heads down and do some deals into former restaurant locations then I really do think they could get much bigger from here.

Didn't David Page say that converting an existing restaurant was about £200k versus £500k starting in a blank space? Their £20m could buy a lot of restaurants!

I personally think UKEF may be lost now because of the fossil fuel nature of Sea Lion.

However, I am more hopeful of the project finding funding from elsewhere. The semi-hidden majority owners of Harbour Energy are EIG Partners and they are a huge $35bn US energy investor:

FIG must want this to go ahead - the tax and royalties would make a huge sovereign wealth fund for the islands.

I think it is time for FIG to get serious- "Harbour, if you want the licence extended then you have to commit."

This is a great stock for a recovery IMHO. 50% or so are owned by the management family and they won't want to dilute their holding. The government has offered substantial support to the high street thankfully.

This is a 50p share that only a couple of years ago had a 20p dividend.

Looking at their images you can see that there isn't much 2D seismic on the SA licence in the prospective areas. The lead can't be very well defined so the 3D survey will be very enlightening!

The cream for Harbour must be the tax losses and the NS assets. I'd imagine that they wouldn't want to derail this deal only because of Zama. Perhaps Zama could be 'parked' in an external place while waiting?
