Schrödingerscat - ultimately each of Lanstead’s funding deals has been an out&out gamble on the future direction of IMM’s SP.
The lower it stays whilst a deal is live, the less they have to repay. Lanstead are ultimately just calculated gamblers, whose aim is to make as much dosh out of IMM as possible.
If they took the view/guessed that a deal was imminent, I can’t see for the life of me why they’d be reducing by over 2% of IMM’s total market cap right now. Yes, they still stand to gain massively if a deal comes off. But they’d gain far more holding 4.99% than
