Agricore - I wasn't going to respond, but just couldn't ignore your latest drivel.
So, Edison produces a bit of research (a.k.a. paid for sales promotion) for their client Molten Ventures (GROW).
Seeing as Molten Ventures is a European VC fund paying Edison £60K p.a. for producing a bit of PR spin - er sorry, detailed research - Edison unsurprisingly accentuates the positives in their client's portfolio holdings.
Which would be great, but for three things:
a) On a 1, 5, or even 7 year timescale since launch, Molten Ventures has been an appalling investment, consistently losing money over each of these periods: https://www.google.com/search?q=grow+share+price
b) It only has around 70 direct holdings, so is hardly representative of the market as a whole
c) In any case, who cares whether early stage companies are achieving more 'up' than 'down' rounds? Greater fool theory & all that. All that really matters to Molten Ventures / TEK shareholders is whether their company (helping finance all these funding rounds through investment/dilution) is actually benefitting. And the answer is a resounding NO, judging by the current share price chart of both GROW (presumably ironically named?) & TEK.
