Adam Davidson, CEO of Trident Royalties, discusses offtake milestones and catalysts to boost FY24. Watch the video here.
as I said earlier flash crash by short algos, you can see it in the detail
784 trades
Volume bought = 515720
Volume sold = 625687
Not a huge difference in the numbers, this was probably planned regardless of the results, shorts very "twitchy"
new FT article about SMR`s ties in with the PMQ`s Question
"Rolls-Royce has urged the UK government to enter formal negotiations over the funding for small nuclear reactors, which it hopes to build in England or Wales by the early part of next decade.
Tom Samson, head of the company’s small modular reactor business, told a committee of MPs on Wednesday that Britain would face an electricity crisis next decade if it did not push ahead with building more “baseload” power stations that offer a reliable source of generation when weather-dependent renewables including wind and solar are not producing.
Rolls-Royce is leading a consortium that has designed a 470-megawatt small modular nuclear reactor, which could produce enough power for a city the size of Leeds and would be built in factories before being deployed at existing nuclear sites in England and Wales.
It wants the government to enter formal talks over potential funding models and how the technology could be deployed so it can start building factories. The first Rolls-Royce-designed SMR would cost £2.5bn, although the UK engineering company has argued the cost of each plant will drop to £2bn once it has a pipeline of orders"
Not sure you`ll get your rebuy at 70p as yesterdays "pop" is holding and added to with big buys today.
317 trades reported so far and buys outnumber sells by just under 5 to 1
Volume sold = 153,984
Volume Bought =767,104
You can never tell when the momentum switches or what the catalyst will be, so better not be out of it
Example:..I bought 3k worth of rank (rnk) shares at 55p, basically because the price was really low and its profit making so when things normalize it will go up. I did this less than a month ago and today its up 15% in the last 30 mins with a closing of 89p, no idea why but sure I will find out
The "Forum Trolls" or "short de-rampers" don't actually have anything to say of interest. They are purely trying to cause conflict because a board that is full of conflict discourages sensible debate....filter them and never engage them its pointless
If there was proper debate it would be apparent that this share has to many positives (contracts, flying hours etc)and now the debt level is drastically lower very few negatives
The recovery play is that they are pivoting from emerging markets, see below taken from the Pre Close FY22 dated 5 Oct 22
"The Group's operations are now more concentrated in advanced economies and its US presence has significantly increased compared to previous years. Approximately 30% of the Group's revenues are now generated in the US and therefore the recent strengthening of the dollar against sterling is expected to have a positive impact on the Group's results in FY23"
A good solid update, nothing in it not to like
* Group revenue in the Period is 14% up on the same period last year and operating profit is substantially higher
*Aerospace enjoyed improving momentum in the first half of the year, with sales up 11%, and encouragingly trading has
been stronger again
*Automotive and Powder Metallurgy (DemergerCo), Revenue in these two businesses combined is up 19% in the Period
versus the same period last year, with margins significantly stronger
*Cash generation is performing in line with expectations and is on track, in the second half, to achieve materially higher
operating cash generation than in the first half
Will add more and this is now a long-term hold for me
Big move by the MM`s this morning to try to get shares on the cheap and trigger stop losses.
Only one problem we have seen it all before and wont be fooled, this share is only going to rise, dips are for rebuys nots sells
I posted on here a couple of days ago that I bought a "few thousand more" on the dip at under 66p to add to my holdings. W That seems to have gone well, pity "the steves" are not around as I was very wrong according to them (but like most things they say its always best to do the opposite)
On a separate note still hearing that song by Frank Sinatra, "Fly me to the Moon", seems very appropriate at the moment
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On a, Jupiter and Mars
The share price you seeing is being affected by the FX effects of the pound to some extent by the look of it. The pound is now 3 cents higher against the dollar. BTW Rycey stock in the US is floating between 3.48 and 4.5 % higher
