I have been in and out of this share a couple of times in the last year , made profit each time, but left a lot of money on the table as I could have sold each time much higher. You can check the board posts from the time to check that

Thanks for saying your a holder, so you believe in the company , then why would every post be negative (when you said a couple of positive things on Friday last week, people though you were ill or having an episode)

All you got to do is Give an explanation as to why with no holding /position why you would spent a considerable part of the last year (nearly 1600 posts all on this board) on this chat board?. The "Oracle of Hull" has been posting negative stuff on this name (let alone the others) day after day, week after week till he has nearly 1600 posts in a year. He claims he is impartial, nobody on this forum is impartial, the difference is most are reasonably honest about it.

From his comments today , the briefing (talking points )notes he got this morning from his handler appear to be, you will see this from different posters too when you look

2. All THG company's fault

5.4.1 Disclosure and Transparency Rules
Chapter 5 of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules (DTR 5)
require an acquisition or disposal of a notifiable holding of voting
rights attached to traded shares (generally 3 per cent or more, or
a move through a whole percentage point thereafter for UK
issuers) to be notified to the issuer concerned as soon as
possible and by no later than two trading days for UK issuers and
four trading days for non-UK issuers. Indirect holdings have to be
aggregated and separately identified in any notification to the
issuer and shareholdings of all persons under the same control
must be aggregated for the purposes of DTR 5. Where the
holding relates to a listed issuer, the notification must also be filed
with the FSA.
The issuer must notify the market via a Regulatory Information
Service as soon as possible and by no later than one trading day
for a listed issuer and three trading days for all other issuers
within the scope of DTR 5. Further changes which take the
holding through a whole percentage figure must also be notified,
as must changes in particulars previously notified.

Use to work in the city but was quite a while ago so things may have changed (in fact probably have), but here is how I understand it

Your entirely right, however there is catch. The management must grant an extension for this to happen to the date specified in the RNS if the initial suitor is rejected for whatever reason. It would take a second suitor to make a bid prior to the date on the RNS to start a new time period. Its only after a bid is accepted that it really becomes a free for all

So when the offers were made for THG last year and the offers were rejected that was it as no extension was granted and no other bidders made themselves known during the period

I couldn't understand why the approach now as it could be veto`d (with the golden share not being given up till after the summer). I think "Moldy" intended this all along, started the bid process when a dumb journalist gave him a reason and its now gonna be a management buyout while the company is protected by the Golden share.

This share chat board has always had teams of short positioned people who always try to push the price down either for themselves or their short fund masters. "The Steves", jumped on a couple of hours ago, same time as the spike down in price by the shorts, but are around on their alts, throwing in rubbish. It is what it is

Of course now the FUD machine is in full overdrive and the volatility is spiking all over the place, sit tight play out the volatility and reap the rewards (probably 100%+) of the bid process.
