There are five new cases in China and three new deaths in South Korea.
There are 11 new deaths in America, which, when you consider the size of its territory and population, compares favourably with the 368 deaths in Italy.
The worrying thing about the UK is that most of the deaths have occurred during the last two days.
Although it is being treated as a pandemic, it is remarkable how slowly it is spreading within continents.
In Iran, 724 deaths have been declared, but only 15 in the rest of the entire Middle East.

MBS's Vision 2030 aims to diversify the kingdom's economy, but analysts say oil price war could jeopardise those plans.
The price war is a gamble for the kingdom, one that could either pay off or land it in a deep hole.
The International Monetary Fund reckons the kingdom needs oil to fetch around $83 a barrel to balance its state budget.

But if oil prices only recover to $50 a barrel by the end of next year, Goldman sees the budget deficit remaining "wider for longer, implying an additional $63bn in funding requirements" over the next two years.
"If they cut spending too much, they could have a rebellion on their hands. Saudi Arabia is vulnerable in this respect."

... look to the example of South Korea, which, through a combination of intense surveillance and social distancing, appears to have gained some semblance of control over the virus. We can learn from South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, all of which have so far done a good job mitigating the worst outcomes despite having reported cases early in the pandemic, and in the case of South Korea, suffering a substantial outbreak.
Policy should be directed at slowing the outbreak to a (more) manageable rate. What this looks like is strong social distancing. Anyone who can work from home, should.

You can't blame the authorities for trying to stop people from congregating - 368 people have died in Italy from CV during the last 24 hours, and 96 in Spain.

Only 18 people died in ethnically-Asian countries during the last 24 hours.

But to be serious, shortly after First Oil, people were saying it was insignificant and that HUR would have to produce for at least six months or 12 months before it could be taken seriously.
It's now nine months, but they keep shifting the goalposts: first, they moved them to water cuts, and now it's the break-even price and bond repayments.
HUR has increased production to 20 kbopd and that too is dismissed as insignificant because, supposedly, the price of oil has now been fixed indefinitely at $20 per barrel.
I and other LTHs can remember how we worried about whether HUR would be able to attract a farminee or raise cash to go forward with the project, but now we are asked to believe that MSB is going to sink the project and destroy SA at the same time.

doesn't yet give the latest figure for Italy, but last time it was 250 dead in one day, which is shocking, taking the total to 1,266.
Spain is the second-worst affected country in Europe, with 58 dead, bringing its total to 191.
Unfortunately, the number in the UK has almost doubled from 11 to 21.
There are 13 new deaths in China, but only 11 new cases (compared with 1,365 in Iran, which is suspected of understating figures) and the Chinese survival rate is now 81 percent.
Total deaths worldwide are 5,619, although only days again it was about 3,400, but when Italy declares, it could be closer to 6,000.
