Even ENQUEST is still higher than us, despite one of the worst trading updates in history. Their debt is higher than 2020 and their production a massive 35% down. HBR worst share ever for sure
(Oil)ca
You say that HBR's performance as a company compares favourably with that of ENQUEST, but that because of HBR's low share price compared with Enquest's, HBR 'shares' are no good.
Wouldn't a more logical conclusion be that HBR shares are undervalued?
Can someone here please calculate how many years' earnings would be required to pay off the company's outstanding debt?
According to my estimate, it is less than one.
'GIEK’s original commitment was for c. 20% of the overall funding. An alternative funding structure has been proposed by SpotOn involving an increased contribution to the financing by the Consortium and the Bond Investors. Discussions to secure this increased commitment are well advanced.'
(RNS, Mon, 1st Mar 2021 07:00)
Noting that SpotOn are now completely out of the picture, and that the discussions were 'well-advanced' eight months ago, the percentage contribution of the Norwegian bond is rather lower than indicated by the figures you mentioned.
Twenty percent of $165 million would be only $33 million, not $45 million.
I am wondering whether the talk about raising money from major shareholders relates to the Norwegian bond alone - assuming no-one else has pulled out since.
The major shareholders hold only slightly more than half the company's equity, which makes a rights issue look unlikely, as it seems a remote possibility that smaller shareholders would be able and prepared to double their holdings.
I can't quite see the major shareholders - including a pension fund - trebling their holdings, either.
I just hope they can come up with some feasible scheme in the next six weeks.
Yes; you are right, ps.
So that would leave $130m to be funded through a bond and/or loans.
(ps)
Don't you mean $85m?
Even if the consortium did not defer payment of its costs, the total would be $120m, not $130m.
I remember an announcement that major shareholders had indicated their willingness to participate in raising the necessary cash.
Does that not suggest that there has been some problem in obtaining the loan and/or bond and that a placing/ rights issue would have to replace one or both of them?
If major shareholders are willing to stump up that kind of money, why couldn't that have been done long ago, especially when the share price was significantly higher?
The all-time low was 0.2p.
In case any new readers are inclined to take what ranger4 says seriously, they should know that he recently had one of his accounts here - TheShen - removed by the administrators, after he had bombarded this PVR board with 700 posts in about nine months, which included a link to a picture of excrement, which is how he had actually described this company.
TheShen and ranger4 have both used the expression 'snowballs chance in hell' with the apostrophe missing, have both made a tasteless remark about LONGWAIT's 'knickers getting in a twist,' and both used the imagery of a man flogging a dead horse (= PVR).
He/she has opened dozens of accounts on this and the other forum, which have been identified.
53 could be an underestimate, DU!
By the way, is it true that you are 'highlyunlikely' on the other forum?
If so, are you aware ( I imagine you are by now) that most of the people you are chatting with on that forum are one and the same person?
In addition to rbonnier and catswhiskas, he is catchingmice, hsfinch, leewain, kakapo1, bones698, jtsouthern146, venomousviper, thedudie, big brother8, luisfrg, and daler1966.
I was able to identify him/them based on literary analysis, but as you point out, the screen names themselves often contain clues.
After a while, you develop a sixth sense and often, the moment you see a screen name, you realise it's him.
I suspect that enormouswillie, wobblywilbur, fardels bear, tarlok, hcminpastry, francoismyname, and mynameiskhan are the same person too.
The common themes are names with references to (and comments referring to) bodily functions, erections, knickers, excrement, muppets, sexual perversions, four-letter words, crude personal insults, cats, vampires, and dead ducks.
His/her price predictions have almost always been wrong. For example, he once predicted a heavy fall for this share at 77p on the day that it bottomed before rising to 250p.
As you doubtless remember, he predicted that this share price would fall to 50 pence in August, but it never fell even as far as 100p.
He once predicted a heavy fall for CGNR the following morning but it didn't even move!
Some months ago, he predicted that anyone waiting a few weeks could pick up PVR shares for one pence. They bottomed out at about 3p.
You may have noticed that when he is confronted with evidence of his multiple personalities, he posts idiotic responses.
Many years ago circa 2004 a poster was exposed as a market maker that poster was venomous viper.
(vampirekitten, 22 Oct '20)
Vampirekitten IS venomous viper!
rbonnier has admitted to being vampirekitten.
Both vampirekitten and rbonnier have written, 'Man the lifeboats !'
with a space before the exclamation mark.
venomousviper has used the same expression without an exclamation mark.
venomousviper = vampire kitten
The expression 'run/running for the hills' has been used by rbonnier and venomousviper.
rbonnier = vampirekitten = venomousviper
So, the question follows: is vampirekitten a former market maker?
Providence Resources PLC (AIM:PVR, OTC:PVDRF) told investors the well site survey at the Barryroe field, offshore Ireland, is complete.
Providence said the programme was completed without incident, on time and under budget.

This is the site survey which TheShen (aka ranger4) said repeatedly would never take place because PVR had, allegedly, no permission to carry it out.

Do these guys produce any oil?
(Harrow JOE)
Are they producing Any gas?
(jaforsadi 28/9/2021 08:21 on advfn)
jaforsadi, in another post, two days ago, used the word 'spoof' which just happens to have been one of the favourite words used by TheShen, who was recently banned here:
'Have you swallowed all the spoof and bluff dished out all this time?' (TheShen)
If Harrow JOE is TheShen, then he is also Vampirekitten.
We're talking about mega-multiple accounts here.
TheShen has practically taken over the JOG forum on advfn, with a rapid turnover of accounts.
Some of the latest statistics are:
Ten posters - TheShen, ranger4, StanleyPro, catchingmice, catswhiskas, vampirekitten, hsfinch, thedudie, terminator1, and kakapo1 have all used 'clowns' as an insult.
Nine posters have made curious use of 'sub' followed by a share price:
vampirekitten and rbonnier ('sub £1'), vampirekitten, catswhiskas and ranger4 (sub 50p), LuckCounts and StanleyPro (sub 350p), goodbloke1, luisfrg and dawallwork.
Six posters - TheShen, ranger4, p5tvr (advfn), catswhiskas, hsfinch, and b33661 - have mentioned a 'dead duck'.
Five posters - TheShen, ranger4, jtsouthern146, Sharetrader123 and rbonnier - have mentioned knickers.
Three posters - bigberty99, rbonnier and venomousviper - have used the expression 'run/running for the hills'.
Three posters - vampirekitten, rbonnier, and venomousviper - have used the exclamation 'Man the lifeboats !'
rbonnier has admitted to being catswhiskas and vampirekitten, but insisted he has no other accounts, but it is obvious from the fact that both he and venomousviper use the expressions 'run for the hills!' and 'Man the lifeboats!' that they are one and the same person - TheShen.
And it looks as though Harrow JOE is too.
I just took a look at the other Sound Energy forum and was actually shocked to discover that the vast majority of posters there are one and the same person.
We have:
IN BR WE TRUST (bad robot on SOU advfn) / In Graham we trust (sharetrader123 on SOU LSE) / IN BB WE TRUST (big brother8 on JOG advfn)
Coincidence?
deadduckinvestment (b33661 on SOU advfn)
'dead duck' has been mentioned by TheShen and ranger4 on LSE, and p5tvr and catswhiskas on advfn, all of whom have previously been identified as the same person.
Coincidence?
me thinks (sunbed44 on SOU advfn)
'methinks' has been used by Sharetrader123 and longwait (advfn), who have already been identified as the same person.
This is a long termer (telbap on SOU advfn)
Both theshen (advfn) and p5tvr (LSE) wrote on the same day: 'Best of luck to all long termers'.
clowns (terminator 1 on SOU advfn)
TheShen, ranger4, StanleyPro, catchingmice, catswhiskas, vampirekitten, hsfinch, thedudie, and kakapo1 have all used this insult.
running for the hills (bigberty99 on SOU advfn) / run for the hills (rbonnier on JOG advfn) / running for the hills (venomousviper on JOG advfn)
Bargepole (owenski on SOU advfn)
Barge pole is used similarly by ngms27 on PVR advfn and rbonnier on JOG advfn (Barge pole stock).
bad robot = Sharetrader123 = big brother8
sunbed44 = Sharetrader123 = longwait (advfn)
bigberty99 = rbonnier = venomousviper
owenski = rbonnier = ngms27
b33661 = TheShen = p5tvr = catswhiskas
terminator1 = TheShen = ranger4 = catswhiskas = vampirekitten
telbap = theshen = p5tvr
That person has opened hundreds of accounts with a rapid turnover.
If you look at the JOG forum over there, you see that over the last couple of years large numbers of members with bizarre names have come and gone, to be replaced by others with similarly-bizarre names, writing in a similar style.
It is even worse over there than it is over here.
It is not a genuine forum.
At 09:28 on 30/9/2020, kakapo1 wrote on JOG:
'CatsWhiskas, hsfinch makes some very good points...'
CatsWhiskas, kakapo1 and hsfinch are one and the same person.
Doesn't that give you the creeps?
I'm surprised that you should suggest I'm obsessed, ps.
For I don't know how long - possibly years by now - you have been having an acrimonious and far from civil altercation with another member on PVR.
Yet when I do nothing more than to publish factual quotes taken from this forum, all of which point in a particular direction, you say I'm obsessed.
I doubt whether any amount of evidence would change your position, because you really don't want to admit what's going on.
The person we're talking about - one of whose accounts was recently banned by the administrators here - has created dozens of profiles on the other forum and held conversations between himself there - sometimes three-way.
One of the profiles he created was big brother8.
In his post timed at 16:32 on 6/2/2020, he wrote:
'IN BB8 WE TRUST'
I suppose you think that's another coincidence.
You have 25 plus accounts on the two forums.
Most of the comments posted on JOG over there are conversations you are having with yourself.
As TheShen, now banned, you once held a conversation with yourself running to 21 out of 23 consecutive posts.
And you tell ME to get a life?
Instead of responding to the substance of my comments, you make a sarcastic and flippant remark.
Just about sums up social media / financial forums.
One of the posters here has more than 25 accounts on the two forums, and when someone presents evidence you think it's time to make jokes.
I suppose it's just a coincidence that TheShen and oilpimpdxb have both used the word 'turd' pejoratively and habitually.
I suppose it's just a coincidence that rbonnier, catswhiskas, wolfsonshaz, chimpeska, and oilpimpdxb have all used the scare word 'Timber'.
rbonnier has admitted to being both catswhiskas and vampirekitten; vampirekitten, catswhiskas, and catchingmice (another of his aliases) all just 'happen' to refer to cats.
I suppose it's just a coincidence that oilpimpdxb and Sharetrader123 have both mentioned vampires, and that vampirekitten uses the very word in his name.
TheShen and Sharetrader123 have both called investors 'clueless', used the unusual insult, 'numptie' and both just happen to have mentioned 'knickers.'
Both oilpimpdxb and vampirekitten, when accused by me of having multiple accounts and denying it, used the words, 'I'm afraid'.
LONGWAIT, I fear you are becoming obsessed.
(ps)
But you don't think I am wrong when I say,
'Sharetrader123 IS TheShen and he is also oilpimpdxb'?
Most people would, I imagine, be more bothered by the possibility that that statement could be true then that the person saying it might be obsessed by it.
