Just read the news.

Someone asked last night how many of us have bought at an average of 60 plus.

I was on the verge last week of buying some for 16.5 to lower my average to 55.

I have just invested double that amount and brought my average down to 56.

I did give JP some stick myself, but I never called him a liar and I never ruled out success at TE-10 and I never suggested calling off the drill.

As I have said before, AIM is like a manic depressive.

It's nothing to do with SOU - there are no data for any other companies I've looked up, either.

Why on earth is LSE calling the company by its old name, Sound Oil?

It's strange that since the farm-out was first announced, the pessimism has been growing.

First, we were told that the Chinese would pull out.

They didn't; instead, they confirmed that they were going ahead.

Then, we heard that the legal challenge would scupper the deal.

Now, we're told AGAIN. that the Chinese will pull the plug on the whole project, as if there exists some natural law to prevent Barryroe from ever being developed.

I suppose that's AIM.

Vultures never bother to turn up where there is no dead body to feed on.

… and the share price has been rising in spite of the ' crash' in the USA.

I don't think it is the same.

Whenever a share price slumps, derampers appear, gloating.

They make predictions of further price falls, question the claims made by the company, question the integrity of its directors, question the understanding of its investors, and so on.

When the price moves up strongly, investors don't rub non-investors ' noses in anything.

I've made similar criticisms myself. - about. Northern Petroleum / Cabot Energy - but that really was a terrible company.

There are some perhaps slightly - paranoid posters who are convinced that the doomsayers all have an ' agenda ' and are trying to talk people into selling in order to push the price down further and pick up cheap shares.

Personally speaking, I think the doomsayers do it simply because they enjoy it.

They like pulling people down.

I'm also kicking myself, but I was so puzzled by the further price falls that I allowed myself to be influenced by the doomsayers here.

147 p was ridiculously cheap.

I've been writing along similar lines myself.

The only consolation I can offer, having myself bought five lots on the way down from 25 p, is that it is precisely because of the 'lack of respect' shown on AIM that there are such opportunities to buy at bargain prices.

Many posters, however, consider that such derisory ratings are evidence of something wrong with a company and this, I believe, helps keep prices depressed.

Some said we shouldn't waste money on drilling TE-10 because there obviously wasn't any gas there.

Obviously there are many clairvoyants among the posters.

I did say the share offer at 3 p was not the bargain' suggested by a poster here.

The share offer at 5 p was obviously not to be touched.

Keith Bush told one shareholder a few years ago that he thought about 30 p (can't remember exactly, but it was a multiple of 10) would be a reasonable price.

I agree - for the whole company.

By 'cheaper prices,' do you mean you expect the price to fall back to 5 p?

I remember - nearly two years ago - that when the discovery of a possible 496 TCF was announced, the price soared from 5 p to 19 p.

If we go back to 5 p, the market is practically negating the discovery.

That was actually my point, Not2sure - as they don't know for sure that gas will flow, wouldn't it be more correct to use 'determine' than 'confirm.'
