None of us considers JP to have been a success and, some time ago, I actually transcribed some of his outrageous remarks from his notorious public performances and posted them here, so I don't expect to be accused of being his poodle.
Some of us do, however, think it's a little strange for posters to be competing with one another to see who can make the most vitriolic, personally-insulting remarks about him, while we are trying to have a normal discussion about how, or whether, he is going to be able to extricate us from this mess.
Frankly, if you're still invested, that kind of discussion ought to interest you; if you're not invested, you could use your time and ours more profitably by investing in, and commenting on, other companies.

I agree that a bid of 30p would be considered by most shareholders to be a failure, partly because it would leave most with a loss.

However, there could be contingency payments, a sale of SM, and the shares could trade at a premium to the offer, so the final result for shareholders could be better.

You may be disappointed: the price may spike exponentially as a result of a bid for the company, and you may have to accept a higher price than you've bargained for.

It could be sold to another company, subsequently making a higher bid.
